Papa John’s partners with OneRare to launch the first NFT Foodverse

Papa John’s enters the metaverse with its three best pizzas. A recent partnership with OneRare will help the global pizza chain bring its community to the world of the metaverse. Players participating in the digital ecosystem of Papa John’s will have the freedom to collect core elements of the food and use them to create their favorite pizzas. Moving forward, Papa John’s plans to take things to the next level by allowing players to use digital collectibles with real-world applications.

Papa John’s Metaverse space will be built over Polygon to leverage its security and economic operation. Benefits, needless to say, will be passed on to society.

The partnership between Papa Johns and OneRare originates from the branch in the UAE; however, players worldwide are welcome to enter the foodverse of OneRare. The announcement was made on Friday, and the partnership is tentatively expected to go live this Tuesday.

Pizzas available in the digital world of Papa John’s are:

  • Spicy Chicken Ranch Pizza
  • Super Papa’s Pizza
  • Vegan Cheese Garden Specialty Pizza

While the three pizzas are exclusively going live in the food-verse of Papa Johns, there will be multiple copies of them for players to grab. Real-world applications are months away from going live, but holders of digital collectibles can start earning rewards immediately. It is speculated that Papa John’s plans to enable holders of digital collectibles to exchange their collections for a real pizza. Talk about bringing excitement!

Supreet Raju, the founder of OneRare, has talked about the project on a macro level by saying that holders of non-fungible tokens will one day be able to exchange their collections for a real meal at the restaurants. Supreet has also expressed commitment to introducing benefits in the future as they continue to build the community.

Digital collectibles of Papa Johns can be accessed by logging in or registering on OneRare. The platform offers several options to access the account – Google ID and social media accounts. These allow visitors to create an account directly with OneRare without having to enter a lot of information.

Papa Johns is the first global pizza brand to shake hands with OneRare. Metaverse continues to become a digital sphere leveraged by brands to connect with customers and offer rewards that can be used in real life. Starbucks, for example, is already deep into the digital segment with plans to further cement its position in the metaverse.
