South African company raises $ 150 million to introduce Crypto Water Tokens called H2ON

H2O Securities, an infrastructure company based in South Africa, generated $ 150 million to introduce crypto water tokens. The company received the funds from the investment from GEM Digital, a global investment company.

According to H2O Securities’ operating plans, funds from the water token launch are for infrastructure purposes only. The company will use it to facilitate water supply to places that lack sufficient fresh water. The launch of this token marks the world’s first water token for cryptocurrency that exists.

Part of H2O Securities’ goals is to bring about significant development changes in the global water infrastructure system. Through its activities, the company works to increase the availability of fresh water in different parts of the world.

With the H2ON symbols, water system operators and even H2ON network participants would receive payments. H2O Securities mentioned that using tokens to generate funds for their projects is a time-efficient approach. This would reduce the time that water suppliers spend delivering to new customers compared to the traditional method.

GEM Digital investment journey

The reputation of Gem Digital takes precedence over that of the investment area. Based in the Bahamas, the robust company is worth up to $ 3.4 billion. Through its $ 150 million investment, GEM Digital would hold H2ON tokens.

The H2ON token investment is not the first step for GEM Digital towards a technology-based commitment. It has been involved in several operations that focus on creating environmental improvement and better living conditions for people.

Focus on launching H2ON Crypto Token

On July 4, the two cooperating companies issued a joint announcement regarding the H2ON water symbols. Julius Steyn, H2O Securities CEO, stated that the weight of the H2ON token investment is to increase the company’s goals. This is mainly about global financing of water projects with less focus on the engineering aspects of the projects.

In addition, the infrastructure company revealed that the H2ON water token would be listed on the Bitmart exchange on Monday. It has been open for some time now on several decentralized crypto exchanges.
