Mattel accelerates to Fast & Furious NFTs

Fast & Furious fans are in for a treat this month with the unique opportunity to enter the digital world of the energetic blockbuster series’ favourites. Timed perfectly with the upcoming release of “Fast X: Fast & Furious 10,” Mattel is set to run Fast & Furious NFTs May 22-29.

Hot Wheels NFT Garage x Fast & Furious NFTs — held on the Flow blockchain and created in partnership with Cryptoys — will feature famous cars from the legendary film: Brian O’Conner’s 1969 Camaro, Dominic Toretto’s 1970 Dodge Charger and Suki’s Honda S2000, for just $20 each. These digital assets act as digital certification and confirm authenticity and ownership – all distinctive to each other, ensuring exclusivity, originality and thus desirability.

As Mattel’s newest digital collectibles,Boss Beauties x Barbie‘, the Fast & Furious project enables holders to own a physical item. But instead of sending an iconic celebrity fashion doll, the redeemable prizes include a tangible metal replica of a Suki car for those who acquire the full set of digital assets.

Mattel’s Web3 Pit Stop

Mattel expanded its digital empire earlier this month, teaming up with OnChain Studios to further venture into the burgeoning digital art and cryptocurrency market. This partnership kicked off with the launch of Star Wars themed NFTs the launch coincides with “Star Wars Day” on May 4 (stay tuned).

However, this was not the first time Mattel touched base in Web3. The famous toy maker first represented its love of fast cars on a chain in 2021, auctioning off its first digital artworks with Hot Wheels and make an additional four series (including this one) after success. Mattel has continued the winning streak and capitalized on Cryptoys, releasing other collectibles since, including Masters of the Universeand kickstarted his own virtual store,’Mattel Creations‘.
