Bored Ape Yacht Club’s new blockchain game
Bored Ape Yacht Club, creators of the popular NFT collection ‘Bored Ape NFTs’, have announced the launch of their new blockchain game, Dookey Dash.
Dookey Dash is a “runner-style”, action-packed adventure that allows players to collect and trade unique digital monkeys, known as Dookeys, while competing in a series of challenging levels.
The game’s art style is inspired by the Bored Ape NFT, featuring cartoon monkeys in fun costumes in wacky adventures. The game will resemble classic games like temple race and Subway surfing where players must guide their monkeys through a series of obstacles and enemies, using a combination of quick reflexes and strategic thinking to get the key.
Dookey Dash launches on 18 January 2022 where only BAYC and Mutant Ape owners will get to try it first by using a Sewer Pass NFT.
The game also comes with one “skill based coin” feature, which means it comes with a leaderboard – tracking high scores to determine the top players. Players included on the leaderboard are teased to receive great prizes, likely another NFT element of some sort.
