Regulators in Abu Dhabi choose Blockchain to accelerate the speed of legal processes

Various parts of the world are currently studying blockchain technology to harness its potential in all industries. In a recent development, lawmakers in Abu Dhabi have decided to use blockchain technology to streamline commercial legal processes. The blockchain-powered digitization is expected to provide courts and affected parties with instant access to commercial judgments, simplifying and facilitating legal processes for international trade and commerce.

“The blockchain solution will lead to significant time and cost savings for parties in enforcing their commercial judgments. Secure, immutable judgments will be immediately available to parties and executing courts, through the ADGM website, an API or directly on the blockchain for affiliated courts. official statement said about the development.

The technology is being adopted by the ADGM Courts, an independent authority responsible for settling civil and commercial disputes in Abu Dhabi.

ADGM, or Abu Dhabi Global Market, was established between 2013 and 2015 as a business center on Al Maryah Island and plans to become the center of crypto activity in Abu Dhabi.

Commenting on the development, Linda Fitz-Alan, Registrar and CEO of ADGM Courts, said: “This ground-breaking introduction of blockchain technology for commercial courts underlines the ADGM and ADGM Courts’ reputation as leaders in the digitization of justice.”

Blockchain technology seems to be catching the attention of law enforcement organizations worldwide.

Earlier in October, the Firozabad district police unit in India launched a new complaints forum built on the Polygon blockchain to enable local residents to submit complaints to law enforcement in an immutable format.

“Complaints can be submitted anywhere and end up at the affected stations where complaints prevail. Once a complaint is registered, the system generates a unique token number and automatically generates a confirmation via SMS and email. There is easy registration of complaints and faster handling after renovation,” Firozabad police said at the time.
