Flybondi offers all tickets as NFTs

Flybondi, the Argentinian ultra-low-cost airline, has launched what they describe as a new and revolutionary airline ticket called Ticket 3.0. The first of its kind in the world, e-tickets act as non-fungible tokens, giving passengers more freedom and autonomy in managing their tickets. With Ticket 3.0, customers can manage their tickets as they wish with three unique options: they can rename the ticket, transfer it or give it away.

The ticket 3.0

This week, Flybondi introduced a ground-breaking flight ticket that removes the usual restrictions on changing the ownership of tickets and is available on all domestic routes where the company operates. Flybondi operates around 310 weekly domestic flights, according to data from Cirium.

Ticket 3.0 gives passengers a more flexible travel experience, so they can even buy tickets in advance without having to define the itineraries or the names of the travelers. Passengers can transfer, rename or issue their tickets quickly and autonomously using a modern self-management module.

In an industry that is constantly adapting to the new demands of travelers, Flybondi has presented an outstanding and unique product that wants to transform how people travel and give them more freedom when they fly. Ticket 3.0 is the result of a collaboration between Flybondi and TravelX, a technology company that provides solutions to airlines to improve the passenger experience. This initiative aims to offer a more personal and convenient service by eliminating the usual restrictions for changing ticket ownership. TravelX invested 7 million dollars in developing the technology that Flybondi implements.

Flybondi’s CEO, Mauricio Sana, emphasized the importance of this initiative, saying that with Ticket 3.0, passengers will have greater flexibility and control over their journeys. “Changing the rules of the game is never easy, but we know our goal is to evolve and offer our passengers a new stage of freedom to fly,” he added.

The process to obtain Ticket 3.0 is simple and can be done directly through the Flybondi website using traditional payment methods. There are three steps to getting one: First you have to go and buy a ticket. Then click on “Create your account.” Finally, from the account, the passenger can decide and manage his ticket.

Many airlines have introduced revolutionary services to their passengers. While it may seem like the norm now, there was a time when offering additional products, such as differentiated fares for people traveling with or without checked bags, was thinking outside the box.

Recently, certain airlines, such as Volaris, the Mexican ultra-low-cost carrier, have introduced new Netflix-like subscription programs. For a monthly fee, Volaris and Caravelo’s subscription-based model allows passengers to take to the skies once a month. Other airlines have introduced a deferred payment method for airport taxes, such as Viva Aerobus, also in Mexico. This carrier gives passengers the option to pay airport fees on the day of travel instead of when making the purchase. This results in a lower price for the paper.
