Recruitment agency Elevate Executive Selection Bermuda is launching a dedicated fintech recruitment department, to be run in conjunction with its cyber division.
Elevate CEO Sylvia Jones identified an increased demand for these professionals when she contacted many of the companies involved in the International Tech Summit last month.
“Bermuda is a well-known global business hub, holding key positions in the global insurance and reinsurance industry,” she said. “Later, Bermuda has become a market leader in digital asset legislation that provides regulatory certainty and consumer confidence and compliance that allows the fintech sector to grow.”
Fintech is an umbrella term that refers to software, mobile and other technologies designed to automate or improve traditional forms of finance for both businesses and consumers.
She said fintech and cyber security were taking off in Bermuda and the world.
According to Grand View Research, the fintech market globally is projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 14.7 percent from 2023 to 2030, and cyber security at 12.3 percent.
As a result, fintech and cyber security experts are now in demand.
“Employers in these industries are therefore having to look at creative ways to attract and retain these highly skilled individuals, who have the privilege and capacity to do their jobs remotely from just about any corner of the world,” Jones said.
She said Elevate’s fintech and cyber recruitment divisions represented an impressive pool of professionals from around the world.
“From entry-level IT auditors to information security CEOs as well as fintech financial analysts, to blockchain developers – everyone is actively in the job market and wants to work for leading Bermuda companies,” she said. “As this sector grows in Bermuda, the Elevate team is ready to support it with candidates both locally and from around the world.”
