Quick take:

  • NFT Paris, Rug Radio, G-Star RAW or Christian Lacroix already use Tropee to deliver tools to their NFT holders.
  • The tools range from goods and events to discounts, whitelists, raffles and more.
  • Users can also discover, build and collect NFTs.

NFT tools platform, Tropee, announced today that it has raised €5 million in a seed round led by Tioga Capital.

The round, which ended in August, was attended by Lorens Huculak, co-head of NFT aggregator, Gem, which was acquired by OpenSea; Thibault Launay, CEO and co-founder of Exclusive, which also raised $5 million led by Tioga Capital; The Sandbox co-founder & COO Sébastien Borget; and Grégoire le Jeune.

Tropee helps creators deliver post-mint experiences, also known as tools, to NFT holders. The platform aims to simplify the process of injecting NFTs with tools. The new funding will be used to further develop the platform and expand Tropee’s team.

The free-to-use, no-code platform allows creators to choose ready-made tools ranging from merchandise and events to discounts, whitelists, sweepstakes, exclusive airdrops, videos and gated links for NFT holders. They can also segment their holders based on NFT attributes and behaviors to deliver the relevant utility to the rights holders.

Founded last May, Tropee has already enabled brands such as Frederique Constant, 20 Mint, NFT Paris, Rug Radio, G-Star RAW and Christian Lacroix to build and deliver digital and physical tools to their NFT holders.

In addition to helping creators deliver tools, anyone in the NFT community can quickly and easily discover, build, and collect tool NFTs. The platform also has a dashboard where creators can have an overview of their benefit campaigns.

“Tropee aims to be community-based – we create the foundation of an ecosystem, focused on tools, physical and/or digital,” said Guillaume Lestrade, co-founder of Tropee.

François Mahl, co-founder of Tropee added: “We strongly believe that the next phase of the NFT industry will take NFTs beyond ‘just’ being a JPEG or a piece of art. We are excited to be at the forefront of this market revolution – and helps creators ensure their collection remains dynamic and attractive, and helps holders get more value out of their tokens.”

Tropee currently supports Ethereum and Polygon, but is working on adding other blockchains.
