What did Black Cat’s NFT creator SHHAN say to the community?

The creator of Black Cat’s NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), SHHAN, addressed the community via his tweet on December 11th. He explained why he blocked all his posts on social sites written in Mandarin.

NFT is digital art that can be preserved in any form, such as music, videos, tweets, art, in-game items, and many more. They are traded online and can either be sold or bought, using cryptocurrency. NFT’s history dates back to 2014. In 2014, the first NFT was created by Kevin Mckoy. It is also among the areas that have been successful in recent years.

In November, soccer legend Leonel Messi closed a deal with French NFT-based trading game Sorare to be its brand ambassador. With the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup, Qatar, companies whose business mainly deals with NFTs are capitalizing on the frenzy of the game.

According to reports, the daily average number of sales of NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain is 9,275 and the total daily average sales value is 0.09 million NFTs attracted a lot of attention after the crypto artwork “First 5000 Days” from Beeple created by American Digital Artist Mike Winklemann was sold for a record $69 million, making it the most expensive NFT purchase to date.

Black cats NFT creator SHHAN made this move soon after users called out his actions as unfair. Further, SHHAN, conveyed it through post in Chinese:

“It’s because I previously announced on Twitter and Discord that my team is trying to enter the North American market. That’s why I advise everyone to use English when replying to Twitter posts. Why do this? Because when I talked to North American holders [of our NFTs]they told us that comments on the Mimic Twitter page are almost exclusively in Chinese, so it was very difficult for them to feel the culture of the Mimic community.”

NFT’s use cases have grown significantly – spanning art, investment products, fashion, collectibles, brands, virtual lands, metaverse, social media, licensing and many more.

SHHAN explained that he posted to the public on the Discord platform, where users prefer English, but “the vast majority of people didn’t seem to follow that.” Mimic Shhans has “playful black cat” NFTs minted on Ethereum blockchain and with different dress combinations in late October. Recently, as seen on OpenSea, the project has 2001 users at a time with over 258 Ether (ETH) in trading volume since the initial phase.
