Wemade collaborates with space and time to operate blockchain and gaming services

Seoul, South Korea, March 15, 2023 /AlexaBlockchain/ – South Korea’s publicly traded gaming giant, Wemade Co., Ltd (KOSDAQ:112040), with a market cap of $1.4 billion, has entered into a strategic alliance with Space and Time (SxT), a top decentralized data warehouse provider, to integrate SxTs developer tools in blockchain and gaming services.

Wemade has a global open blockchain game platform, WEMIX PLAY, which hosts more than 20 monetization games, including the world’s number one blockchain game, MIR4 and MIR M across all genres.

WEMIX, Wemade’s blockchain developer subsidiary, is building a mega-ecosystem consisting of its own mainnet, WEMIX 3.0, NFT and DeFi services, and WEMIX coin. WEMIX plans to launch an Ethereum layer-2 that uses zero knowledge proof (ZKP) protocols for improved scalability, privacy and security.

Space and Time will work with Wemade in the future to develop next generation decentralized infrastructure for more robust and scalable GameFi development.

WEMIX CEO Shane Kim said: “We believe blockchain is the future of gaming, offering players greater ownership and control over their digital assets. As the blockchain transformation of traditional gaming continues to grow, the partnership with Space and Time will help strengthen our blockchain infrastructure capabilities and contribute to our commitment to building an economy between games.”

In a decentralized deployment, Space and Time offers a comprehensive set of developer tools that includes a hybrid transactional and analytical (HTAP) data warehouse, real-time indexed blockchain data that is tamper-proof, and a serverless API gateway that facilitates the development of fully decentralized. applications, thereby reducing dApp time to market.

The Space and Time data warehouse runs queries that are verified tamper proof. This is made possible by their unique cryptography method called Proof of SQL, which allows smart contracts to run tamper-proof queries directly. This opens up a world of possibilities for powerful use cases built on blockchain technology and a fully decentralized stack.

When game developers build on space and time, they can easily combine real-time blockchain data with game-generated off-chain data in a single query and link the results back to on-chain smart contracts. By partnering with Space and Time, Wemade will be able to offer more complex monetization schemes for its P2E games, run tamper-proof analytics against game activity and reduce on-chain storage costs by connecting a scalable decentralized data warehouse to its blockchain-based platform.

Nate Holiday, CEO and co-founder of Space and Time, said: “We are thrilled to partner with one of the largest and most respected gaming companies in the world. Space and Time is committed to advancing the blockchain gaming industry with essential next-generation infrastructure and developer tools. This partnership is a big step forward for the Web3 gaming industry. Together, Wemade and Space and Time are building a new blockchain gaming ecosystem to tap into the next wave of game developers.”

Wemade is known for creating the highly popular RPG game, The Legend of Mir 2, which is considered one of the most successful games in Chinese gaming history. Since its launch in China in 2002, the game quickly captured 64% of the Chinese gaming market within a few years. Aside from the GameFi projects, Wemade’s L1 network also supports DEXs, NFT marketplaces and other initiatives in the Web3 space.

The company is dedicated to expanding its blockchain ecosystem beyond GameFi and actively expanding its offerings. Through the partnership with Space and Time, Wemade aims to provide more secure and decentralized services to developers building GameFi, DeFi and other Web3 applications.
