Web3 Browser Opera launches new NFT Analytics tool DegenKnows – NFTgators

Quick take:

  • DegenKnows also provides access to actionable insights from top wallets, including celebrities, alpha groups and influencers.
  • The Opera Crypto browser has added support for four additional blockchains.
  • Opera users can now also register human-readable handles for their crypto wallets.

Web3 browser, Opera, today announced that it has launched DegenKnows, the new NFT analysis tool that helps users discover, track and verify digital collectibles.

DegenKnows provides deep on-chain and off-chain analytics that can help users discover and explore NFTs before they gain mass appeal or even mint. It also allows users to glimpse the most popular NFT projects and study charts indicating their popularity, as well as key collectors and opinion leaders in the NFT space.

To help weed out potential scams, DegenKnows provides users with off-chain data from social media sources, as well as an analysis by the team behind the NFT project, along with on-chain data.

Users can get aggregated insight into the project’s team information, including the number of followers on social media, the number of active members and total mentions over 24 hours. The platform also offers a curated content feed for each NFT project, so users can see the most important posts without time-consuming research.

The curated feed also enables users to identify whether a community is made up of real people or bots. Users can also see key opinion leaders in the NFT area who follow specific projects. Once the scams are filtered out and research on a given project is done, users can use DegenKnows to set reminders for raffles and coins.

Alongside the launch of DegenKnows, Opera has also integrated support for NEAR Protocol (NEAR), Elrond (EGLD), as well as Fantom (FTM) blockchains, adding to existing integrated networks that include Ethereum, Bitcoin, Polygon, BNB Chain and others.

Opera users can now also register human-readable handles ([email protected]) for their crypto wallets via the Foundation for Interwallet Operability (FIO) for free.

“Our goal with the Opera Crypto browser is to provide a portal into the Web3 at its fullest. From browsing dApps to spending your money, our users can explore the Web3 from the safe environment of an easy-to-use browser from a trusted brand. In today, with DegenKnows, we give them an innovative tool to explore and understand the world of NFTs and perhaps see the next big project before others, says Susie Batt, Crypto Ecosystem Lead at Opera.

The launch of DegenKnows comes hot on the heels of Reddit’s recent success in the NFT space, which brought nearly 3 million new users to the nascent market and generated $10 million in sales in 3 months.

As part of the launch, all users of the Opera browsers get Premium access to DegenKnows for free. Non-Opera users can access a limited free trial that will be available until the end of 2022.
