Uome, FinTech App, Open Banking Feature, Instant Bank Payments, UKUome FinTech platform that enables self-employed people to run businesses from their phones has launched its new integrated Plaid open banking feature in the application.

This new feature allows Uome users who are small businesses, creatives, entrepreneurs, traders, accountants, consultants and freelancers to receive instant bank payments immediately due to the integration of open banking services.

Before Open Banking, payments were processed at Uome via Google Pay, Apple Pay and Klarna. Stripe was one of the main payment processing providers and it took between 3 and 7 days for payments to arrive. Now users can choose how they get paid. They can still pay for services via Apple Pay and Google Pay and can also choose the speed at which they receive their money.

Jason Halstead Founder of Uome said: “Uome is about simplifying important processes required to run a business and empowering users. With Uome, business owners have full control over how they choose to run and grow their business and can turn integrated services on or off. So users can register sign up for a monthly subscription and access open banking services for instant payments or choose to receive funds via Stripe with our PAYG option. The same applies to our Klarna integration. Uome users have the option to offer credit to their customers at their own discretion beautiful.”

The Open Banking feature is currently free to use, but from 1 January 2023 this will become part of the paid subscription option that also includes value-added admin features (such as expenses, reporting, directory, etc.).
