Travis Barker releases first NFT collection via LimeWire, as former file-sharing platform officially launches collectibles marketplace

LimeWire, the former file-sharing platform that was recently relaunched as a marketplace for digital collectibles, has officially rolled out its service with a superstar list of artists releasing NFTs on the platform.

Travis Barker, Brandy, Nicky Jam, Aitch, Dillon Francis, FitLit Club with Jim Jones, Maino, Dave East and Fabolous, Gramatik, 7 Aurelius and Elijah Blake will release exclusive NFT collections on the LimeWire market in the coming weeks .

LimeWire’s official rollout follows the news in May that the platform had entered into its first major label partnership with Universal Music Group (UMG).

The agreement with UMG followed April’s news that LimeWire raised $ 10.4 million in a private sale of the LMWR token.

LimeWire says collectors are able to purchase exclusive and unreleased music, video content and digital art through their platform.

The platform adds that it is “committed to lowering the barrier to entry into the NFT ecosystem for both artists and collectors who are new to the space, by removing technical barriers, radically simplifying the user experience in the market and with a general mainstream-ready approach”.

Travis Barker’s first NFT collection ever on LimeWire will feature behind – the – scenes footage of herself working in the studio. LimeWire also says that buying one of these NFTs unlocks an exclusive song.

In addition, Barker will release a one-of-a-kind NFT which is a 3D model of his drum kit and the physical drum kit he used at concerts / during rehearsals / in his home.

Other artists joining the platform include A $ AP Mobs A $ AP TyY, CJ Fly, Oritsé, Mollow, Luciana, Blacka Di D.
