The Odesa Fine Arts Museum in Ukraine is launching a new NFT support campaign

In Ukraine, Odesa Fine Arts Museum with the support of Artwhale.io invites art admirers and collectors to become a friend of the museum. Using the potential of new technology, the Odesa Fine Arts Museum launches the project nft.ofam.org.ua which aims to preserve and demonstrate to the world its unique collections.

Embellished with the works of prominent Ukrainian artists, Kandynsky, Zhuk, Holovkov, the unique NFT Friend Passes are issued to support the digitization and preservation of museum collections, which in 2022 were threatened as a result of brutal Russian war against Ukraine.

Friend Passes for 2023 will allow people to visit the museum both in Odesa and online via video tours, check in, get rewards and benefits, be whitelisted for new drops of digital assets, and later – enter museum exhibits in the Metaverse. Odesa Fine Arts Museum is one of the leaders of the museum in Ukraine. The museum team showed how in just 5 years it is possible to create a reliable circle of support from patrons, philanthropists and museum visitors who will protect the museum’s interests in any situation. This is one of the most dynamic museums in Ukraine, even during the war.

It is symbolic that the Odesa Fine Arts Museum was opened in 1899 also with the support of patrons. 123 years later, people who care about art and its fate unite to help the museum preserve its unique collection and popularize Ukrainian and Odesa art among its citizens and on the international stage. Today, OFAM is asking international patrons to support the museum team with innovative tools for NFTs. The digital passport serves as a key to access services and rewards for supporting the museum on the nft.ofam.org.ua platform created by Artwhale.

With this campaign, the team begins to build a multicultural community around OFAM that will further develop into the DAO. The proceeds will start the process of 3D scanning hundreds of works of art, including preserved and evacuated, along with those long hidden in storage.

Digitization of museum collections has the potential to revolutionize the way we engage with history and culture. By breaking down traditional barriers to access and creating new opportunities for engagement, the Odesa Fine Arts Museum aims to reach more people and promote cultural understanding on a global scale. Patrons of art can also contribute to the museum’s long-term success. The role of patrons of the art museum is crucial for the preservation and continuation of the cultural heritage. Their support enables the museums to showcase the beauty and richness of art, provide educational opportunities and contribute to the cultural enrichment of society. Of
