The long-awaited NFT game launches in closed beta – how to get involved

The beta version of a much anticipated NFT game is about to be released.

SolChicks aspires to be the best play-and-earn RPG ecosystem on the Solana blockchain, with players using cute ladies as characters in an immersive gaming metaverse.

Initially, the beta version will only be available to those who already have SolChick’s NFTs – and the game will be available on Android devices and PCs.

The closed beta service will be launched on October 15 at 12:00 UTC and you can find out how to register here.

A dramatic tweet showing a SolChick in black and white was recently shared to the game’s 309,000 followers – and simply included the hashtag #ChangeGaming.

Why closed beta?

Catheon Gaming, the publisher of SolChicks, hopes the closed beta phase will give a small, engaged audience the chance to get a sneak peek at how the game has evolved so far. It’s hoped that this process can uncover any remaining final bugs before full launch – and give developers valuable feedback as they put the finishing touches on the game.

There will be no blockchain integration during this three-day period – meaning players will not be able to connect to the wallet and gateway over their NFTs. Instead, they get a special login and random SolChick game characters so they can pace the game. Once the beta period is over, your progress will be deleted.

Players will play the first three chapters of SolChicks in story mode as Talonyr, the title’s protagonist, as he undertakes an epic journey across Planet Mellow. Teams of up to five SolChicks will also enter battle – and players will need to think strategically as they form a team that has a perfect mix of active and passive skills. If performed in the correct order, certain skills will cause greater levels of damage in battle.

Defeating monsters will increase each SolChick’s experience level—and deliver much-needed upgrades to their weapons and equipment. Given how each stage becomes increasingly difficult, this will be nothing short of crucial.

SolChick’s developers say there’s going to be a lot to look forward to, even in this initial beta phase. More than 50 stages will be offered, each with its own type of monster.

New weapons and gear can be unlocked by defeating bosses or opening random boxes throughout Planet Mellow. Once the game is fully launched, players will have the option to mint these in-game as NFTs, and trade them on a custom marketplace.

Uniquely created, carefully designed

There is little doubt that this initial beta stage will create a huge buzz.

Highly experienced artists have been tasked with overlaying various pre-designed attributes onto the basic SolChick character – and from a tokenomic perspective, players will be rewarded for their time and commitment in a new approach for the gaming sector when the full game is released.

More than 100 people with proven track records have been tasked with bringing SolChicks to life – and together they have a long-term vision of where the game is headed. Core team members have previously been involved in constructing successful blockchain projects, while others come from a background of working in blue-chip companies and financial institutions.

Partnerships with Brave, Chainlink and five secondary marketplaces have also been made, meaning SolChicks is in a strong position to take the world by storm.
