The highest paying British jobs in fintech

As we rush towards a cashless future – a future that is greatly accelerated by Covid-19 – it is an exciting time to work in the banking and finance sector. Traditional banking systems have been disrupted by digital-only banks. Mobile wallet services such as Apple Pay and Google Pay are now mainstream, as are payment apps such as Monzo and Revolut, and investment banking and direct lending are more accessible through various fintech start-ups.

Goes up

Those who work with cyber security, cloud computing, AI and machine learning, data analysis, computer science, blockchain, software development or compliance are lucky. Fintech is growing, and the more it does, the more companies seek talent.

In fintech, culture can be fast-paced, and there is often a greater opportunity to be creative than in traditional financial organizations. Roles in the sector are usually also accompanied by generous pay scales, as attractive compensation packages are required to attract highly specialized and skilled talent in such a competitive industry. Storm2 reports that fintech executives expect to be paid a minimum of £ 110K in the UK, with computer scientists reaching salary levels comparable to CTOs.

Join the club

Currently, digital banking companies, financial organizations and fintechs all compete for employees who have a strong background in financial services. So if you are in the business, the world is your remote oyster. But who are the market leaders and who is currently hiring?

Finextra Job Board is your go-to for comprehensive listings, but let’s take a closer look at three exciting roles currently on offer.
