The firm is launching the first African-built crypto wallet

Online bitcoin to naira fast exchange platform, SenexPay, has built and launched the first crypto wallet built by an African company.

The firm, which has active use in over 40 countries, started as a crypto exchange several years ago and has now added a wallet to enable users to store their digital assets.

According to a statement from the firm, the launch, which was officially announced in February 2023, will provide Africans with an opportunity to build wealth by participating in the global blockchain industry without facing the stress and confusion usually associated with such a venture.

The company added that the platform offers banking security and exceptional service.

SenexPay CEO Oke Orhosere said the wallet became necessary as the firm believes everyone should have easy access to Bitcoin and other digital currencies.

He said: “Unlike popular self-directed trading apps, where you are constantly worried about the security of your assets, SenexPay was built to meet world-class encryption standards. Oke explained that millions of Africans are still left out of the modern hi-tech revolution, with SenexPay wanting we to bridge the gap for everyone

“We are excited to bring Nigeria and the rest of Africa a wallet, the first of its kind built for Africans by Africans, offering unique features that are essential and specially designed to meet the needs of our people. We all know how critical financial inclusion is. Unfortunately, many Africans are unable to enjoy this, mainly due to a lack of reliable platforms to access global markets. We are excited to bridge this gap and provide everyone with easy access to the global blockchain economy so they can build their wealth. In the coming months, we will be doing a lot to intensify our message of financial freedom, and we are confident of the support we will enjoy from our stakeholders and customers.”

Confirming Oke, Rikome Erezi, CTO of SenexPay, said the app is easy to use and enables onboarding in less than two minutes, adding that the interface and UX are designed to provide customers with a seamless experience.

He said: “With SenexPay, trading is as easy as breathing. We have deliberately made the process simple because we believe that enjoying wealth should not be complicated. With SenexPay, through our app and in just under 3 minutes, anyone can safely trade and store their digital currencies and build wealth from the comfort of their mobile phones.”
