The Blockchain and Crypto Summit in Latin America

The Blockchain and Crypto Summit in Latin America

With an increasingly powerful and consolidated Latin American crypto ecosystem, Peru ranks among the top 20 countries with the highest use of digital assets in the world – according to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. Blockchaincon Latam seeks to become the most important meeting for Web3 in Latin America and the largest to be held in Peru to date.

Blockchaincon Latam takes place on 8-10 June at the Lima Convention Center. The meeting will focus on addressing issues related to blockchain technology, crypto, non-fungible tokens (NFT), metaverse, artificial intelligence (AI), investments, trading, decentralized finance (DeFi) and the development of Web3.

Over three days, the event will feature lectures, panels, interviews, networking, workshops and more than 60 speakers from countries such as Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, USA, Peru, El Salvador and Colombia, among others, who will share their knowledge, experiences and perspectives with participants for the future of this new technological disruption.

Renzo Trujillo, CEO of Blockchaincon Latam, comments that the team is working to bring together all the players in the decentralized world.

“Blockchaincon Latam will generate a significant impact on the local Web3 ecosystem; thus, it will continue to position Peru as an attractive market and Latin America as an epicenter for the development of blockchain technology.”

For Carolina Cavenaghi, head of Aurora Brasil, the events offer a number of benefits for Latin American communities, including those located in Brazil – one of the countries with the highest adoption rates in the world.

“These events provide a platform for people to learn about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology in a hands-on and interactive way, raising awareness and understanding of these innovative technologies. In general, crypto events play a critical role in promoting education, networking, investment and community building.”

Cavenaghi also points out that events like Blockchaincon Latam help foster a sense of community and common purpose among those interested in these technologies, increasing the development of the industry as a whole and creating a supportive environment for innovation.

A clear example of this is the several side events that will be held to promote this event, such as an NFT gallery and various networking spaces that the event will have.

Blockchaincon Latam and the future of Web3

This mega-event will gather more than 1,000 people interested in the technological and economic revolution that we are currently experiencing. Blockchain with Latam also hopes to receive the largest number of representatives from companies, institutions and Web3 organizations worldwide.

Likewise, it seeks to summon new people and companies in decentralized technologies. Thus, after participating in Blockchaincon Latam, participants will have more tools to develop in this new digital environment. In addition, it will allow us to assess the future of the ecosystem in Latin America. Dagmara Handzlik, marketing manager at Cryptology, elaborates:

“From El Salvador adopting Bitcoin (BTC) as legal tender to Colombia turning to digital assets due to crippling inflation, Latam has truly shown how cryptocurrencies can be used to bring stability to nations and improve the daily lives of its population.

Handzlik says that supporting crypto adoption in places where it provides a smart alternative to traditional finance is something Cryptology is passionate about. “We are excited to share our progress with Blockchaincon Latam and the cryptocurrency community in Latin America.”

From 8–10 June, it is expected to discuss the most important recent events and how the future Web3 is configured in the region. In an environment where everything moves by leaps and bounds, it is necessary to reflect on how the crypto space will develop in the coming years.
