Recent news quoted that around 175,000 Hyosung’s ATMs will incorporate the Bitcoin buying app into their business. The idea is to facilitate Bitcoin transactions among ATM operators and retailers using Hyosung’s machines.

The US crypto dealers and ATM operators now have the influence to buy BTC through Hyosung’s ATMs. The incident occurred after Hyosung America entered into a partnership agreement with DigitalMint. DigitalMint is a well-known point-of-sale supplier of Bitcoin and Litecoin payment rails in the USA. The payment rails include bank transfers, counters and ATMs.

The digital currency provider does this through software API incorporations. The software’s API integration allows ATM operators and resellers to perform successful BTC transactions using the company’s unique machines.

But Hyosung also quoted that the chances are high that only a few of the 175,000 ATMs will support the BTC purchasing app. This is because each ATM operator must also decide whether they want to integrate the services of DigitalMint or not.

The API-based App Store

According to Hyosung’s announcement, there will be an additional development for the ATMs. It will include DigitalMint’s digital currency services for the potential API-based app marketplace. The company added that the construction of the app store for ATMs is currently in the pipeline.

Brad Norlan, Hyosung’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), has also shared his thoughts on the app store. According to him, the sale of Bitcoin will not be the only advantage of the API-based app market for ATM operators. It will also create a platform that offers operators a range of new revenue streams.

Based on Hyosung’s ATM network scale, DigitalMint’s services can experience good customer exposure. However, it is not surprising whether these parties will enter into different agreements or not. This is worth noting, given that DigitalMint offers only two digital assets.

Hyosung America is not an independent organization. It is the North American-based subsidiary of Hyosung, Inc., a South Korean company. The company believes it is the best ATM provider in the United States.

Apart from the company’s ATM service, there is no overview of the company’s involvement in digital currency matters. However, given the current developments to create an API-based app market, other crypto-related partnerships may follow.
