Symax Fintech Announces Free Trading Workshop Dates for August

Trading education specialist Symax Fintech has announced two dates in August for free trading education, with seminars to be led by veteran trader and market commentator Chris Tubby. Two live and in person events will be held in London on August 9th and 11th.

Additionally, there will be an opportunity for traders to attend a free virtual trading education event on August 10.

The sessions on 9 August will be 11am – 1.30pm and 2pm to 4.30pm. The afternoon session is for women only.

The 11 August sessions will be in the same time slots as above, but the morning session at 11am will be for female traders only.

The events are free to attend. However, participants MUST bring their own laptop. The sessions will cover a wide range of topics of value to traders. This includes an introduction to trading, asset classes, mistakes new traders make and the right path to follow to become a trader. Chris will also demonstrate a number of his favorite charts and indicators.

Other topics to be covered at the seminars include:

  • Manage risk
  • Trading techniques
  • Business psychology
  • What is a trading plan and what should it include?

All sessions conclude with an opportunity for questions and answers with Chris.

Who is Chris Tubby?

Chris Tubby is a veteran trader with over four decades of trading experience. Chris began his career in commodities in the 1970s and became a senior trader at the age of 22 for a US commodity trading house. He switched to the financial futures markets when they arrived in London in 1982. In the mid-1980s he opened his own proprietary trading company as well as providing execution for tier 1 institutions.

His trading expertise is extremely varied – prop trading, multi-leg strategies and arbitrage. He spent many years as a market maker for international exchanges (such as CME) on a variety of financial and commodity products. This included four years at an Italian bank, Fineco, in Milan as a market-maker and in London as part of a team providing liquidity to both major oil futures exchanges (CME and ICE).
