Steve Aoki goes undead with Deadfellaz NFT collab

Steve Aoki is getting into the Halloween spirit early this year, teaming up with Deadfellaz to create a collection of “Undead” merchandise, Billboard reported this morning.
The new collection includes limited edition varsity jackets, t-shirts, hoodies and skate decks. One of the varsity jackets comes with an identical digital wearable for sports in the metaverse.
“NFTs and web3 are the future,” Aoki said of the partnership. “It’s been such an adventure to co-create with pioneers like Betty and Psych of the Deadfellaz Horde. Deadfellaz is an incredible project and community that I’m proud to also be a part of. I’m honored to drop this collaboration for our Horde and share our passion with the world – the pieces are colourful, exuberant and luxurious; I can’t wait to rock them!”
This is not the first time Aoki and Deadfellaz have teamed up to create a unique experience for NFT holders.
“Working with Steve has been so much fun,” Deadfellaz co-founders Betty and Psych shared. Billboard. “He has embraced web3 and helped shape the space into what it is so far, which has been particularly impactful given his incredible success in a variety of areas such as music, fashion, art, technology and more. This collaboration comes a year after Steve DJ had an exclusive set for [our community] at our very first Deadfellaz metaverse event last Halloween, so it feels very special to us.”
The collection will be revealed on 29 October.
Deadfellaz has been on a partner role for the past few months. At the beginning of September, the team collaborated with American jeans manufacturer Wrangler for a choose your own adventure game.
