With over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, Paul Dontschuk, Chief Transformation Officer at RedZed has worked across several geographies with a common theme of technology, change and working with great people. As Chief Transformation Officer of RedZed, Dontschuk is responsible for delivering the company’s transformation program.

Over the years, Dontschuk has seen tremendous changes in technology used to support both customers and internal process efficiency. “I have been fortunate to work for a few large organizations, such as Ford and General Electric, and at that time been involved in several innovative projects and industry-leading projects. My experience has given me a great set of tools and expertise that I can use on RedZed.

“I started in RedZed a week before the covid barriers started in Australia (March 2020). During 2020, many organizations took a conservative approach to investment and slowed or stopped projects. While focusing on appropriate actions to navigate RedZed through a period of uncertainty, management and the board saw the opportunity to continue to support investment in the future, “Dontschuk added.

When it comes to his work, Dontschuk is inspired to find opportunities that others say are difficult or impossible to do, and then work with good teams and make them. “RedZed has a value of Bold examination and supports the teams to do so. This is not always easy – exploring means that you sometimes encounter difficult circumstances, a few paths where you have to turn back, and inevitable falls and accidents. The new discoveries, rich rewards and insights more than offset some of the difficulties of the journey.

“Transformation should begin with adaptation to an organization’s purpose and vision. At RedZed, it meant delivering solutions that support our passion for self-employment. Transformation is not for the frivolous, it requires a commitment to long-term benefits and recognition that the transformation must be in focus, which means that other initiatives must be paused or postponed

When it comes to his achievements over the years, Dontschuk reflects that seeing the people he has worked with and influenced throughout his career achieve amazing results, and then get the chance to work with them again during his career as a source of satisfaction. “There is something special about seeing people and companies grow. I started at RedZed after a catch-up with the CEO who was a former colleague. He shared the customer and growth vision for RedZed and asked me to help during a period of delivering the transformation program.

“One thing led to another, and I joined RedZed permanently and have been here ever since. It’s no coincidence that my decision was influenced by the clear passion for RedZed’s independent customer base and the joy of working in a growing business.”
