Multi-award winning filmmaker/actor Anthony Hayes launches the NFT series with Mogul Productions

Sales from NFT series with exclusive benefits will help drive funding and launch new sci-fi film trilogy into production

TORONTO, ON / ACCESSWIRE / August 4, 2022 / Mogul Productionsan innovative DeFi and NFT market platform that wants to drive positive change in the entertainment industry by transforming how films are financed, is launching a new NFT collection to finance “Retrogression”, an upcoming blockbuster trilogy of sci-fi films.

Mogul is partnering with acclaimed filmmaker Anthony Hayes for the launch of the unique NFT series called “The Dark Army” prior to the release of the planned trilogy. Hayes is the producer/director of GOLD starring Zac Efron, which is out worldwide now. As an actor, he has starred in WAR MACHINE with Brad Pitt, THE ROVER with Robert Pattinson, LIGHT BETWEEN OCEANS with Michael Fassbender and ANIMAL KINGDOM with Joel Edgerton.

The World of Retrogression is a dark dystopian sci-fi epic set 300 years in the future, a world where The Dark Army runs slave factories on an island called Omega, where the poor are forced to work to produce goods for the rich. The Dark Army NFT series draws inspiration from these enforcers of Omega’s ravaged landscape.

Proceeds from the NFT sale will be used to fund the film’s production, with a number of benefits included for community members who join the sale. The launch of the NFT series is in line with Mogul’s mission to empower filmmakers to have greater financial and creative autonomy and give the community of film superfans a voice in the production process.

Rare Dark Army NFTs will grant the holder exclusive benefits, such as an Executive Producer credit on the first Retrogression feature film. Other rare NFTs in the collection will entitle the holder to unique experiences such as a visit to the set during production, or even the chance to appear as a featured player in the film. But even the most common NFTs in the series provide cutting-edge tools for holders, including beta testing passes to play the upcoming Retrogression game, a digital image of a costume from the film, exclusive behind-the-scenes access and much more.

The Dark Army Collection will be launched on the Ethereum blockchain as ERC-721 tokens, and can be purchased in either Ethereum or ERC-20 STARS tokens. The minting process will be a “lazy coin”, with each NFT minted completely randomly using Chainlink’s provably fair minting system, which is integrated into the Mogul platform. This gives all buyers an equal opportunity to score a super rare NFT.

The collection will be limited to 1,530 NFTs, with the rarest of all, Dark Army leader General McKinsky, limited to just 10 of each color. Each NFT in the collection will have additional tools built in, allowing for future integration as character avatars in various metaverses where the Retrogression P2E gaming experience will be hosted.

Further information about the launch and the Retrogression series can be found here.
