Miami NFT Week announces speakers highlighting fast-growing crypto community in Latin America

Miami, Florida, March 21, 2023 — Miami NFT Week, the largest non-fungible token (NFT) gathering hitting the Web3 hub in South Florida, has announced dozens of new speakers to its lineup. Along with the three-day event agenda, these speakers further reinforce the rapid growth of crypto-native communities in Latin America. The collection returns to 305 to once again spearhead the innovation, creativity and imagination that forms at the intersection of crypto and culture. Miami NFT Week will offer top-of-the-line networking, panels and a variety of cultural discussions for the Hispanic community.

This year, Miami NFT Week will feature speakers from around the world, including:

Laura Rodriguez, host and co-founder of The Miami Ape, said:

“Miami NFT Week 2022 was my first introduction to a scene for crypto and Web3. As a young woman, I was trying to understand the space and my place in it all. After attending the conference, I knew my passion was this new emerging world, and I started my company, The Miami Ape, shortly after. Without Miami NFT Week 2022, I would never have taken the opportunity to speak on so many stages around the country and the world. A year later, I can look back on the journey and still me up in front of everyone at Miami NFT Week 2023 as a speaker to share my story and hopefully inspire young women like me.”

Mastercard Senior Vice President Stefany Bello will join Laura and others on stage for a panel discussion titled “Latinos Vamos! The Power of Women LATAM Women!” with an important conversation around the power of Latin American (LATAM) women. In addition, Mastercard is sponsoring four panels focusing on LATAM and the growing LATAM crypto community. The four panels include: Aping into LATAM, Leveraging Web3 Latin Network, Web3 perspective and startup opportunities from LATAM, and ¡Vamos! The power of LATAM.Furthermore, Mastercard’s Vice President of Blockchain and Digital Assets, Eduardo Abreu, and its Director of Brand Management, Innovation and Digital Marketing for Latin America and the Caribbean, Marcus Carmo , speak on the panels to add their insights into this ever-evolving community.

Miami NFT Week continues to reinforce its core messages by focusing on building opportunities for crypto newcomers and individuals still trying to find their calling within the crypto community – much like Laura was last year. These fundamental ideas will be infused throughout the conference via its main pillars: culture, metaverse, enterprise, Web3 and community.

Erik LaPaglia, co-founder of Miami NFT Week, said:

“We strive to provide a welcoming environment for all crypto enthusiasts – natives, newcomers, and curious individuals alike. Crypto and Web3 are evolving rapidly, and at Miami NFT Week we are eager to help the community evolve. The testimonials stemming from last year’s conference was overwhelming, and it has always been our goal to be the most inclusive crypto event. This year, we are proud to continue with the same goal.”

To bring new innovators into the space, Miami NFT Week hosts a panel from NFT Kids featured in NFT Kids Magazine, the first-ever NFT publication for digital child artists founded by 13-year-old NFT artist and photographer Gemeidon. The kids, ages 7-15, will have a booth at the conference to showcase their art, sign autographs and bring a new perspective to the room. To add to the fun, four of the kids — Christopher Lyons, Genesis Johnson, Brooklynn Bailey and Ariana Sabatino — will be speaking on panels over the weekend.

In addition to the various panel topics and networking opportunities, Miami NFT will also host a buildathon. This year’s competition, which is free to enter, will provide an interactive environment where participants will not only hear about industry-leading tools, artists and founders; they will be able to interact with and build with them. Prizes worth $25,000+ will be awarded to winning teams.
