Melania Trump wants the public to know that Christmas is an “important” time for her and that she is “devoted” to the holiday, despite what the nasty mainstream news media — and the former first lady herself — have said in the past. Why do you ask? Maybe because she sells Christmas decorations and NFTs, just in time for the holidays.

News about Trump’s Christmas ornaments and NFT collection fell last week, sparkling disbelief above Internet as well as references to a recorded conversation from 2018 where the then first lady said: “Who cares about Christmas things and decorations?”

In a statement to Breitbart News on Tuesday, the former first lady said that her “unreliable” former assistant Stephanie Winston Wolfkoff, who was fired by Trump in 2018 and has since written an all-explanatory book with the title Melania and me“edited and released our conversation to create the perception that Christmas is not important to me.”

“I personally want to set the record straight because the mainstream media has failed to provide context for these misleading exchanges,” Trump said. “Christmas is an important time for me, my family and the American people, and my devotion to the holiday is personal and deeply serious.”

claims Trump she expressed her frustration with the situation at the border at the time. It was the same year she visited detained migrant children in a Texas border town and made waves with one Zara jacket adorned with “I really don’t care. Do you?” on the back.

“Most people would agree that reuniting migrant children with their parents is more important than discussing Christmas decorations in the summer,” Trump told Breitbart. “The fact that Wolkoff deleted this part of our conversation, in which I expressed hope to reunite families separated at the southern border, reveals her malicious intent.”

Trump said at Wolkoff’s recording, “I say I’m working on Christmas planning for Christmas and they said, ‘Oh, what about the kids?’ That they were separated. Give me a break. Did they say anything when Obama did it?”

Wolkoff, meanwhile, criticized Trump for her comments to Breitbart on Twitter, calling the former first lady “pathetic.”

“Melania Trump needs to attack ME for selling NFTs for Christmas decorations. What is Melania worried about? She can’t sell trinkets on her own?” Wolkoff tweeted on Tuesday.

The The “American Christmas Collection” consists of six ugly ones brass ornaments that cost a lot $35 each, all engraved with Trump’s signature. In addition, she is also sells a brass ornament she personally designed called “The Christmas Star” for $45 at MelaniaTrump.com.

A brass colored poinsettia designed by Melania Trump is displayed.

A purchase of the physical ornament is required to redeem the corresponding 3D animated NFT. According to Trump’s website and USA Memorabilia, the website that sells them, The NFTs will be minted on the Solana blockchain and will be available in limited quantities. A portion of the sale will go to Trump’s “Fostering the Future” initiative, which aims to provide scholarships to foster children. How much of the sales will go to this measure is unclear.

As for the design of the ornaments themselves, they sure are…something. Apart from the poinsettia, they are similar the generic designs you might look at gift tags. I would have preferred something similar to Trump’s spooky Christmas forest decorations in 2017. Something like that would at least be unique, if scary.
