Istanbul Blockchain Week announces IstanDAO, a dedicated day to discuss, debate and learn about the growing world of decentralized autonomous organizations

27 October 2022, Istanbul – Today, Istanbul Blockchain Week announces IstanDAO, two events spread over two days, which will focus on the future of Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs). IstanDAO will be an interactive discussion about how we organize our communities, projects and workplaces. The event will bring together influential DAOs worldwide with DAO contributors for brainstorming, talks and deep conversations. IstanDAO will provide participants with an opportunity to collaborate, share and solve important issues facing DAOs with the aim of providing an industry-wide framework for DAOs to implement after the event.

IstanDAO will include two half-day events on November 15 and 16 during Istanbul Blockchain Week’s flagship event, IstanBlock. Starting with IstanDAO Unconference, an invitation-only half-day discussion to explore joint solutions to the biggest challenges facing DAOs, featuring over 20 of the world’s top DAOs. Followed by IstanDAO CON, a half-day DAO conference to focus on future trends and the frontier development of DAOs.

IstanDAO was initiated by Bankless DAOone of the most influential DAOs in Web3, Layka DAOthe first and largest DAO in Turkey, SeeDAOthe most influential DAO in China, and Istanbul Blockchain WeekTurkey’s largest Web3 conference.

The IstanDAO Unconference aims to answer some fundamental questions: how do we use DAOs to reorganize our workplaces, finding a balance between democracy and efficiency? How to ensure professionalism in voting decisions while maintaining a high participation rate? How to prevent DAOs from becoming a tool for the benefit of a small group? What is the future of this revolutionary technology?

“A DAO is a collectively owned, blockchain-governed organization working towards a common mission. Attracted by its flat structure and incentive design, a large number of innovators have come together to develop different DAOs to facilitate the same goals among like-minded people. IstanDAO aims to provide an IRL platform to bring together DAO practitioners to discuss the development of the DAO and facilitate long-term DAO2DAO cooperation.”

comments Grace Gui, the initiator of IstanDAO.
