IOTA’s contribution to Noble Initiatives

This is not the first time IOTA has been part of a larger global initiative. In the past, IOTA has collaborated with several such initiatives across various societal issues.

For example, the bIOTAsphere projects from IOTA seek to collaborate with various partners worldwide towards a common goal of net-zero emissions. By leveraging blockchain technology, bIOTAsphere offers a fully collaborative and non-profit collaboration where different communities can interact. Similarly, other participating actors can leverage IOTA’s open, secure, public and immutable protocol to build a sustainable infrastructure.

Using a proven value of Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG), bIOTAsphere also seeks to commercialize IOTA applications. The main goal of bIOTAsphere is to “demonstrate innovation of existing business models through proof of concepts and collaborate with industry leaders to take these innovations forward”.

Furthermore, IOTA has also partnered with Gold Standard and ClimateCHECK to drive the digital transformation of the carbon market. The aim of this initiative is to improve the availability, data quality and resource mobilization of the carbon markets. These three actors will work together to improve the supply side, the demand side and the interoperability of the carbon market.
