IOG and NMKR announce collaboration to drive NFT adoption
Input Output Global (IOG), the company behind the Cardano blockchain, and NMKR, the number one NFT mining and payment infrastructure on Cardano, have announced a new collaboration to increase awareness and use of NFTs.
The collaboration has seen NMKR build a Minting API for a new NFT ecosystem, with the goal of making it as easy as possible for anyone to create and engage with NFTs. NMKR provides the technology on the Cardano blockchain, provides coining services, white label NFT drops and also allows the migration and integration of NFTs and NFT-related services between Cardano and other distributed ledger technologies.
The collaboration will see the integration of a new FIAT payment option created by NMKR, meaning users will be able to pay with traditional currencies as well as cryptocurrencies. This will enable anyone worldwide to participate in an NFT sale without needing a prior in-depth understanding of the crypto market.
The technology has already attracted a lot of interest. Actor and comedian Martin Lawrence created and launched his first NFT collection on Cardano using the Minting API, which was revealed in a recent Twitter Space with Charles Hoskinson, CEO of Input Output Global, and Patrick Tobler, CEO of NMKR.
