ICONIC MOMENTS PARTNERS WITH WHITE HOUSE HISTORICAL SOCIETY TO PRODUCE NFT ART FOR PROOF COLLECTIVE’S GRAILS II RELEASE
WASHINGTON, 25 August 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Iconic Moments has partnered with The White House Historical Association (WHHA) to produce a limited edition NFT (non-fungible token) – a digital collectible with proof of ownership through a digital ledger known as a blockchain that can sold and traded on marketplaces such as Iconic Moments. The partnership is WHHA’s first foray into NFTs and the first time PROOF Collective has invited an NFT marketplace to join the Grails collection.

Grails Collections highlights original works by various artists from around the world. PROOF members have exclusive access to emboss these unique pieces, but do not know the respective artists’ identities until after the embossing process is complete.
Iconic-WHHA NFT is made of Linda Dounia Rebeizwith the title Sparrows do not fear the sun. Rebeiz’s work uses physical and digital art media and incorporates artificial intelligence, making her ideal for tribute Alma Thomas a black female artist who pioneered a style and whose piece resurrection WHHA chosen as inspiration for NFT.
Painted in 1966 when Thomas was 74, resurrection has Thomas’s abstract signature style. It depicts several colorful, irregular, concentric circles forming a sunbeam. The work was acquired for the White House collection with support from George B. Hartzog, Jr., and the White House Acquisition Trust/WHHA and is the first artwork by a black woman to be added to the White House Collection. First lady Michelle Obama unveiled the play i February 2015and reveals its place of honor overlooking the old family dining room.
