Host Blockchain Nodes via Flux Marketplace | by Flux Official | October 2022

Flux’s core values and ethos are the emergence of Web 3.0 – By and for the people. Evoke the power of corporations and restore it to ordinary people. Flux Cloud is decentralized, based on thousands of individual servers from all over the world connected in one operating system. Individuals are the backbone of it. They supply the cloud with computing resources via home-based bare metal machines or rented servers and are incentivized with 50% of the total block reward.

To date, the decentralized cloud of Flux is supported by over 15,000 nodes across the globe. Its total available computing resources total over 100,000 cores, over 275 TB RAM and over 6 PT (Petabyte) SSD. A Web 3.0 cloud powerhouse that can be used to deploy applications in a decentralized and censorship-resistant manner. There are many advantages to using Flux instead of traditional Web2 infrastructure providers:

  • All applications are redundant and have automatic failovers in case of interruption.
  • Flux Cloud is agnostic to coding languages as it uses Docker Hub containers as an on-ramp
  • Flux Cloud automatically keeps applications up to date with the respective container.
  • Flux Cloud offers unbeatable prices

Enough introduction! Let’s continue with the guide to deploy your own Blockchain Node via Flux Marketplace in very few steps!

  1. We first need to head over to https://home.runonflux.io/
  2. Once we’re here, we have to log in with our ZelID. Available to us via Zelcore (Remember to always use the official links)

2.1 If you have not created an account in Zelcore, you must first download and install the app

2.2 Next (mandatory for the security of your wallet), enable d2FA in the App section inside Zelcore.

2.3 Now you can authenticate by clicking the fingerprint button or manually by signing the message manually on Zelcore Wallet with ZelID app

3. Now that you are authenticated, go to and view the list of supported blockchain nodes. Flux Marketplace supports various blockchain nodes: FIRO, PRE, PIVX, DASH, KAS, RVN, KDA, NEOXA, DOT and KSM. Select the project you wish to support with additional decentralized infrastructure.

Then you’ll see something very similar to this (This tutorial goes over the KaspaNode deployment to demonstrate the steps):

4. Do not enter any variable in the Parameter field for the following nodes:
FIRO, PIVX, DASH, KAS, KDA, NEOXA, DOT, KSM. Just click on “Start Launching Marketplace App”

This field is only of interest to PreSearch and Ravencoin Nodes.

For Ravencoin Node you can us“uncomment” to put your desired identifier or your Ravencoin wallet address. As there are currently some community members compensating people who host RVN nodes and drafts from the uacomment section.

For a PreSearch Node, enter your Presearch registration code from your Node Dashboard. read more here.

5. You can click next or copy Registration notice if you sign the message manually from the ZelID app and then click next

6. Here you can click the fingerprint button to sign the application request, or if you’re done, manually paste the signed message onto your ZelID from the previous step

7. You will now receive the monthly cost of your application. Click Register Flux App

8. You will now receive payment information in FLUX. Payment is made through the FLUX blockchain in FLUX coins.

9. Select “Pay with Zelcore” to make the payment for the app

10. You’re done! We just have to wait for your node to be created on an available node.

When you are logged in via your ZelID, you can go to the “My apps” tab. Here you will be able to manage and visit all the blockchain node deployments you have done so far.

Remember that your Blockchain Node is only subscribed to 22,000 Flux blocks which is ~44,000 minutes, so around a month. You must renew the payment monthly, so that the node is not thrown off the network.

  1. Click on “Manage”, “Manage App” or “Update Specifications”
  2. Leave all the variables as they are; click “Compute Update Message.”
  3. Sign the message with the ZelID app and click “Update Flux app” afterwards
  4. Click “Pay with Zelcore” to make the flux payment
  5. Voilà your node has been renewed for 22,000 blocks

Have fun supporting your favorite projects with decentralized infrastructure!
