Hashgraph Association and Orange Partner to Launch AGV Blockchain Accelerator in Morocco – BitcoinKE

The Hashgraph Association and Orange, one of the world’s leading telecommunications operators, have partnered to launch the AGV (Accelerator Grand Vitesse) High-Speed Accelerator Program in Morocco which aims to promote the development of innovative blockchain projects and startups in the region.

According to the association, the accelerator program will provide education, funding and management support to help build successful blockchain projects and startups in the country.

As part of the partnership, The Hashgraph Association will allocate €100 million ($105.95 million) to start-ups operating in fintech and blockchain with the ambition of empowering young entrepreneurs to adopt digital assets and decentralized finance (DeFi) .

This partnership marks a significant milestone in the growth and use of blockchain technology in Morocco. The AGV High-Speed Accelerator Program will not only provide a platform for startups to grow and thrive, but will also create an ecosystem in the capital Casablanca, and is expected to attract innovators, entrepreneurs and pioneers.

Kamal Youssefi, President of the Board of Directors of The Hashgraph Association, said:

Invention thrives on education and collaboration. Orange is in line with our efforts to share the benefits of DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) with new communities and to educate, fund and build relationships with people there.

Together with Orange, the association will provide co-financing to entrepreneurs, startups, companies, public projects, universities and academic institutions. It is described as a co-investment model expected to serve the development and implementation of DLT (digital ledger technology), blockchain and fintech solutions.

The program is also expected to provide a wide range of learning modules based on an assessment of learning needs. The education will be practical and include seminars, classroom training, executive coaching, mentoring, e-learning, webinars and blended learning programs.

To encourage cooperation between members of the AGV High-Speed Accelerator and like-minded entities in Morocco, the accelerator will enable global exchange programs that can be integrated with other professional programs for career start and development.

The two organizations aim to regularly co-organize virtual and on-site events, providing space for workshops on new concepts and technology in the DLT, blockchain and fintech industries.

With the rise of blockchain technology and decentralized finance, there is a growing need for educational programs that help young people understand the potential of this technology. The AGV High-Speed Accelerator program has proposed as an excellent initiative to meet this need.

In addition, this program is expected to promote blockchain technology in the wider region, promote growth, collaboration and integrity of local businesses, and build an ecosystem aimed at attracting innovators, entrepreneurs and pioneers.
