Gods Unchained has stood proudly atop the abundance of blockchain trading card game a while. The game was created by Chris Clay, the former Games Director of Magic: The Gathering. Having this renowned figure leading this project was already a great start in an industry full of fraud.

Gods Unchained, like many other card games both on and off the blockchain, has different collections that contain different NFTs used in the game.

Gods Unchained NFT Card Set

At the time of writing, it is currently 5 Gods Unchained expansions released. As much as $52 million worth of cards have been bought and traded across various NFT marketplaces.

Gods Unchained also holds various tournaments where players can use their NFT collectibles in matches. A total of $570,000 in tournament prize money has been awarded, with more to come in the future.

Packages ranged from $2.49 all the way to $149.99. Chests were priced at $14.99 up to $149.99.

Trial against the gods

“Trial of the Gods” was the first collection made available to players. You chose your hero and went through the trials to prove your strength.

The Trial of the Gods set contains 150 cards, organized by rarity and use. The set consists of:

  • 60 regular cards
  • 48 rare cards
  • 16 epic cards
  • 26 legendary cards

Each card type was made available in different packs and also mystery chests. The chest contained 6 cards, from $14 to $149. They were distributed in limited numbers, giving them a rarity when they were made unavailable.

The second compilation from Gods Unchained is “Divine Order”. This collection saw a whole bunch of new cards and ways to play the Gods Unchained crypto game. New gameplay was presented when Divine Order was released.

New mechanics created more interesting gameplay, moving towards a more Yu-Gi-Oh style of play where the player’s attack could be stopped.

A total of 194 new cards were issued.

  • 79 regular cards
  • 57 rare
  • 32 epic
  • 26 legendaries

A few more card categories were added to the game, including:

  • 1 mythic card (each of these cards has 1 in circulation)
  • 6 epic campaign cards (must find a mythic card to get these in packs)

Death sentence

The third Gods Unchained collection is “Mortal Judgement”. This was the last collection from season 1 by Gods Unchained.

197 new cards were issued:

  • 80 regular cards
  • 64 rare cards
  • 23 epic cards
  • 30 legendary cards
  • 1 mythic card
  • 1 Legendary Campaign Card

Chests were not made available for this set.

Judgment of the Light

The fourth set released, and called the “Epilogue set” is “Light’s Verdict”. This set was tied to the previous set, Mortal Judgment acted as a part 2 of sorts.

The packs in this set contained cards from Mortal Judgment. Those who opened chests and packages also had the chance to obtain Light’s Verdict card. However, these were limited and not guaranteed, with a total of only 12 cards being released.

Winter Wanderlands

The final collection for Gods Unchained is “Winter Wanderlands”. This set was Christmas themed and released in late 2022.

Released in limited quantities, packs and chests were only made available to players for purchase. It was the first ‘Seasonal Collection’ for Gods Unchained.

Packs were released in normal and shiny categories. Prices started at $9.99 up to $99.99.

There were only 20 cards in this set. However, Winter Wanderlands followed a similar layout to Light’s Verdict the development team changed around some drop rates and factors in the game. While cards were only available in Winter Wanderlands packs, they made this collection a standalone release.
