Emergent Entertainment is partnering with Animoca Brands to advance the development of the blockchain game Resurgence

UK-based metaverse and blockchain game studio Emergent Entertainment (Emergent) has partnered with Hong Kong-based game company Animoca Brands to advance the development of Resurgence, the upcoming survival MMORPG.

Animoca Brands said in a statement that both parties have signed a strategic advisory agreement for the partnership.

According to the statement, Animoca Brands will work closely with Emergent on the development of Resurgence, providing support and advisory services across key areas, including but not limited to governance, tokenomics, business strategy, strategic partnership development and marketing of the survival-focused MMORPG.

Resurgence is a AAA free-to-play post-apocalyptic open-world survival game that will be powered by blockchain technology.

Emergent recently announced that the game will be launched on the Immutable X platform, which provides advanced scaling capabilities and a carbon-neutral environment with zero gas fees, while maintaining the robust security and decentralized capabilities of Ethereum.

Emergent continues to establish key partnerships and expand the team dedicated to the development of Resurgence, creating a best-in-class blockchain-enabled game that empowers players through ownership of the gaming environment.

The game takes place a thousand years after the fall of human civilization, with players taking on the role of humans who have awakened from a deep cryosleep.

Gen 0 Cryotag holders have opportunities to actively earn in-game points known as Virtues, unlocking rewards such as airdrops and the upcoming Gen 1 and Gen 2 NFT drops.
