Dr DisRespect remains bullish on NFTs and Web3

Dr DisRespect is the cool Call of Duty streamer we’ve all grown to love since he emerged into the content creation world way back in 2010 for the shifty Machinima organization. Who can forget the many…

While he remains a Call of Duty gamer at heart, Dr DisRespect has set his sights on something a little different. The difference is NFTs and Web3 games!

Read on to find out more about Dr DisRespect’s relationship with Web3 and what recent news he has been embroiled in.

Dr DisRespect is no stranger to Web3

These latest headlines, though we’ll get into them, aren’t actually the first time he’s given the thumbs up to crypto discussion. Even back in 2022 he was in the middle of one collaboration with Polygon Network for his web3 game studio Midnight Society.

Partnering with Polygon allowed players “to build a game publishing platform on the Polygon blockchain where players can freely trade in-game items without incurring high transaction fees or negatively impacting the environment.”

NFTs were thrown into the mix here and are still being released with a new drop called “DEADROP SNAPSHOT V” expected March 17!

In the past, Midnight Society received some negative feedback from gaming and streaming fans due to its inclusion of NFTs in their upcoming projects.

In response, Dr DisRespect exclaimed “It doesn’t change your experience of the game once it’s released and it will continue to be free to play. You can’t buy to win.”

Dr DisRespect stands up for Blockchain

Dr DisRespect has stood up and let his feelings be heard on negative press received on NFT games. As we’ve already discussed, DisRespect is a bullish fellow on all things crypto, so the new headlines will come as no surprise to those reading at home.

According to the famous game stream, NFTs will be “a new PvP experience” in gaming. NFTs are a new concept in gaming and offer fully autonomous ownership of in-game assets, bringing value both in and out of the gaming ecosystem.

Dr has also taken to Twitter in a series of Tweets again defending web3 concepts from the negative press they are in the midst of receiving from gamers and entertainment fans.

He has called the haters “brain dead” and that they are just headline followers.

One thing that holds most players back from having a strong discussion about NFTs and Web3 is the amount of disinformation out there about the ideas.

If you were to look at the real drivers of the space such as Axie Infinity and The sandbox to name a few, they will soon realize that NFTs in gaming are not a scam and are a step forward.

Some games have needed a while now, especially as digital ownership and collectibles have become increasingly popular in the real world.

While it’s fine to have a negative opinion of blockchain concepts, it’s only the right people at home doing their own research that have passed the rather biased mainstream roofs you see.

Dr DisRespect has received some negative responses from fans as a result of these tweets. Many are still not convinced of his commitment to NFTs and also the bigger picture of web3 as a whole.

However, some support streaming. Let’s see how his Midnight Society project goes as talks from the company last year indicated that 2023 would be the breakthrough year for this up and coming game studio!
