Don’t miss the event of the year – Shanghai International Blockchain Week in 2022

Shanghai International Blockchain Week 2022 will be held online from September 16 to 28, and consists of Wanxiang Blockchain Hackathon Fall 2022 16-18 September, open day on September 19 and the 8th Global Blockchain Summit. Register for this amazing event or sign up for a live stream alert here.

The 8th Global Blockchain Summit – one of the most anticipated blockchain events of the year – is scheduled to take place from September 20 to 28, with a grand opening on the first day from 09.30 to 12.00, followed by eight themes. sessions from 14:00 to 17:00 from September 21 to 28. The nine-day summit includes discussions and lectures centered on topics such as blockchain technology, Layer 2s, DAOs, Web3, privacy computing, data security, Metaverse, “double carbon” issues and IoT.

The summit provides an unprecedented opportunity to delve deeper into the world of blockchain and establish a shared vision of the digital future.

Daily themed sessions:

  • September 20: Grand Opening of the 8th Global Blockchain Summit — The grand opening of the summit will bring together some of the world’s most famous industry players. There will also be a surprise guest sharing views on Metaverse practices.

  • September 21: Technology Insights on Public Blockchains — Attendees will be thrown into a blockchain network that provides the opportunity to learn from the best founders of blockchain projects and gain a broader perspective on their technologies and progress.

  • September 22: Layer 2 — This is where attendees can join and gain valuable insight into Layer-2 scaling solutions with some of the world’s most attractive Layer-2 projects such as zkSync.

  • September 23: Data processing of privacy and data governance — Experts and thought leaders from projects such as CertiK will discuss topics such as data processing of privacy and data governance to advance participants’ understanding of how to better guarantee data protection in blockchain.

  • September 24: Blockchain, IoT and Double Carbon Goals — This session will focus on discussions on how digital technologies such as blockchain and IoT technologies will help achieve double carbon goals and further sustainable development.

  • September 25: The Metaverse — In this session, attendees will enjoy expert discussions around the topic of Metaverse infrastructure and best practices.

  • September 26: Academic Perspectives — This session offers researchers, crypto experts and thought leaders the opportunity to share their views on blockchain, Web3 and Metaverse from technical, economic, financial and societal perspectives. Confirmed speakers include He Zhiguo, professor of finance at the University of Chicago, and Zhu Jiaming, economist and head of the Academic and Technical Committee of Digital Finance Research Institute, Hengqin Digital Alliance.

  • September 27: DAOs — A Decentralized Autonomous Organization is a new way of organizing and managing a group of involved parties. On September 27, the event’s speakers will debate and discuss how DAOs are innovating and reshaping the way organizations are generally run.

  • September 28: Web3 — Web3 represents the next generation of the Internet. This session brings together some of the most talked about Web3 projects to explore inspiring Web3 applications and best practices.

Wanxiang Blockchain Hackathon Fall 2022

Under the theme “Together for a shared future in blockchain”, the Wanxiang Blockchain Hackathon Fall 2022 focuses on carbon neutrality, Web3 and digital transformation. It sets three tracks, namely the green future of low carbon and environmental protection, the blue future of Web3 and the colorful future of digital transformation.

First, second and third prize winning projects for the hackathon will be determined by a combination of audience voting (50%) and judges (50%). Built on Venachain, the voting system allows users to check information such as votes, block heights and transaction hashes at any time. Registration for the hackathon is now open.

As in previous years, this year’s summit will serve as an avenue for industry leaders, pioneers, experts and investment representatives in the blockchain space to share their views on the disruptive technology trends shaping the future of how we work and live.
