Cryptocurrency Prices Today: US Inflation Figures Continue To Hit Crypto Market, Bitcoin Below ,000

It is quite clear that the increase in US inflation numbers and the sharp fall in the valuation of the US markets had an impact on cryptocurrency market. Since the last two days, it has been on a downward journey, with its market cap continuing to stay below $1 trillion and Bitcoin (BTC) falling below $20,000.

The global cryptocurrency market was down 0.93 percent at $989.81 at 8:30 a.m. Trading volume was down 22.64 percent to $78.28 billion, according to Coinmarketcap data.

Trading volume in the decentralized finance coin section is around $5.85 billion, or 7.48 percent of the total crypto market’s 24-hour volume. The volume of all stablecoins is $73.1 billion, or about 93.38 percent of the total crypto market volume in the last 24 hours.

The biggest winner was Celsius (CEL). It was up 28.36 percent to $1.90. The biggest loser was Terra (LUNA), down 34 percent to $2.89. The most popular crypto was Ravencoin (RVN).

Cryptocurrency prices

Bitcoin: BTC fell 1.94 percent to $19,988.17.

Bitcoin traded at a loss for most of September 14, with the price frequently fluctuating between the $20,400 to $20,000 levels. But around 10:59 PM, BTC fell below the $20,000 mark and even lower to around $19,800 levels.

Its lowest intraday trading price was $19,793.40, while volume was down 26.85 percent to $37,486,323,420.

Ethereum: Ethereum’s the price rose 0.15 percent to $1,600.80 in the last 24 hours to Thursday morning.

ETH traded with gains for most of September 14, but the trade was without significant direction, and the price often touched both red and green bases. At around 23:49, ETH was in the red zone and remained there until around 02:49 on September 15th. After that, ETH gained significant upward momentum, which lifted the price towards the $1,660 levels.


The lowest price for ETH today was $1,572.60. ETH’s trading volume decreased by 17.89 percent to $18,996,508,262.

Other Altcoins: Solana’s (SOL) price fell 0.36 percent to $33.47 today.

Ripple (XRP) rose 0.48 percent to $0.3359 and 24-hour trading volume was down 15.56 percent to $1,224,122,476.

Cardano (ADA) rose 0.24 percent to $0.4731. Cardano’s 24-hour trading volume fell 27.01 percent to $735,091,960.

Binance (BNB) fell 1.15 percent to $276.28. Its 24-hour trading volume decreased by 14.51 percent to $969,616,790

Meme Coins

Dogecoin (DOGE) was up 0.26 percent to $0.06048. Its 24-hour trading volume was down 21.2 percent to $363,324,306.

Shiba Inu was down 2.26 percent to $0.00001204.

Decentralized Finance (DeFi)

Yearn.Finance (YFI) fell 2.47 percent to $9,007.99. Its 24-hour trading volume was down 30.56 percent to $47,882,190.

Avalanche (AVAX) fell 2.51 percent to $18.76 and 24-hour trading volume was down 37.78 percent to $420,267,364.

Aave (AAVE) traded down 3.35 percent to $81.73, and its 24-hour trading volume rose 41.94 percent to $149,326,005.
