Almost 9,000 people died as a result of an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 that occurred on Monday in Turkey. It is not among the deadliest earthquakes since Fukushima in 2011. Several thousand people have been injured and their homes destroyed.

In response to the recent earthquake damage in Turkey, Binance has begun sending $100 USD worth of BNB to all users who have been identified as living in the areas most affected by the disaster.

Users are identified using Proof of Address (POA) forms submitted on February 6 in 10 cities severely affected by the earthquake, including Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Diyarbakr, Adana, Osmaniye, Gaziantep, Anlurfa, Adyaman, Malatya and Hatay .
