Crypto market cap under  trillion;  Bitcoin down 8.4%, Ethereum down 6.39%

All major cryptocurrencies and tokens were trading at a loss, and as a result, the crypto market cap fell below $1 trillion on Wednesday morning.


The global cryptocurrency market was down 5.94 percent at $998.15 at 8:30 a.m. Trading volume rose 21.94 percent to $90.08 billion, according to Coinmarketcap data.


Trading volume in the decentralized finance coin section is around $7.49 billion, or 7.4 percent of the total crypto market’s 24-hour volume. The volume of all stablecoins is $93.47 billion, or about 92.38 percent of the total crypto market volume in the last 24 hours.


The top winner was Terra Classic (LUNC). It was up 11.79 percent to $0.00035. The biggest loser was Helium (HNT), down 13.27 percent to $4.60.


Cryptocurrency prices


Bitcoin: BTC fell 8.4 percent to $20,388.05.


Bitcoin traded with gains for most of September 13, but sometime around 17:54, the price of BTC fell from $22,600 levels to $21,202 levels within an hour. It continued to fall further until it made its intraday low around the $20,000 price levels at 03:44 on September 14.

Its lowest intraday trade price was $20,062.67, while volume was up 7.52 percent to $51,259,309,952.


Ethereum: Ethereum’s the price fell 6.39 percent to $1,596.98 in the last 24 hours through Wednesday morning.


Like BTC, the ETH price also fell around 17.54 on 13 September within 50 minutes. By midnight, the price had fallen further to around $1,564. As of this morning, the price has picked up, but is still trading close to the intraday low.

The lowest price for ETH today was $1,564.03. ETH’s trading volume increased by 35.11 percent to $23,139,136,074.


Other Altcoins: Solana’s (SOL) price fell 11.09 percent to $33.70 today.


Ripple (XRP) fell 5.52 percent to $0.3346 and 24-hour trading volume was up 34.29 percent to $1,449,058,532.


Cardano (ADA) fell 4.79 percent to $0.4719. Cardano’s 24-hour trading volume rose 8.3 percent to $826,116,174.


Binance (BNB) fell 4.15 percent to $279.23. Its 24-hour trading volume increased by 14.57 percent to $1,134,855,541.


Meme Coins


Dogecoin (DOGE) fell 4.49 percent to $0.0602. Its 24-hour trading volume increased by 23.31 percent to $460,995,325.


Shiba Inu was down 3.83 percent to $0.0000123.

Decentralized Finance (DeFi)



Yearn.Finance (YFI) fell 4.18 percent to $9,267.68. Its 24-hour trading volume increased by 43.64 percent to $68,944,673.


Avalanche (AVAX) fell 9.28 percent to $19.18 and 24-hour trading volume was down 5.23 percent to $675,737,013.


Aave (AAVE) traded down 8.55 percent to $84.35, and 24-hour trading volume rose 18.93 percent to $257,293,047.
