Cryptocurrency prices fell 0.38 percent on Tuesday morning after yesterday’s rise. The market was dragged down by losses in Bitcoin, Ethereum and other altcoins.

The global crypto market fell on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, after yesterday’s rise. The market was weighed down by losses made by Bitcoin (BTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ethereum (ETH) and other altcoins.

The total crypto market fell to $1.07 trillion, down 0.50 percent from yesterday, at 11 am IST on Tuesday, according to coinmarket.com. Total crypto market volume rose 28.66 percent to $45.33 billion in the last 24 hours.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) was the top trending crypto, but the biggest gainer of the day was NEM (XEM), up 29.06 percent to $0.05642. The biggest loser was Conflux (CFX), down 7.77 percent to $0.215.

Cryptocurrency prices

Bitcoin: BTC fell 0.15 percent to $23,405. A deep fall in BTC’s price was recorded at 21:00 IST on February 28, 2023 when the price fell from $23,840 to $23,276 in one hour.

In the last 24 hours, the trading volume has been up 24 per cent to 21.9 billion. BTC’s dominance currently stands at 42.3 percent.

Ethereum: ETH’s price fell 0.40 percent to $1,629.06.

Early Monday, Ethereum entered the green after trading in the red for many days. But it turned red again at 23.20 IST. The price fell from $1,637 to $1,616 in two hours. Since then, ETH has not recovered. ETH’s trading volume increased by 15 percent to $6.9 billion.

Other Altcoins

Solana (SOL) decreased by 2.57 percent to 22.40 dollars.

In the 24-hour trade, Ripple’s (XRP) price rose 0.35 percent to $0.3778, and trading volume increased by 81 percent.

Cardano (ADA) was up 0.48 percent at $0.3649. After a 16.08 percent increase, 24-hour trading volume reached $235 million.

Binance (BNB) fell 0.67 percent to $304.02. Its 24-hour trading volume rose 15 percent to $391 million.


Meme Coins

Dogecoin rose 0.80 percent to $0.08233, and 24-hour trading volume increased by 44.55 percent.

Shiba Inu was down 2.05 percent to $0.00001251.

Decentralized Finance (DeFi)

Yearn.Finance (YFI) fell 3.16 percent, although 24-hour trading volume was down 2.97 percent.

Avalanche (AVAX) fell 2.58 percent to $17.73, even as 24-hour trading volume rose 32 percent.

Aave (AAVE) traded down 3.68 percent to $79.20.
