‘Crypto House’ Sells for .2 Million  Features NFT, Twitter Wall Art

A seemingly simple house from the outside that contains a variety of interior decorations that lean towards a theme such as cryptocurrency and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) has hit the market for $1.2 million.

Social media account Zillow Gone Wild, known for posting photos of interesting houses for sale, posted photos of the house in North Hollywood, California to its accounts across various platforms, including Instagram where it was liked more than 25,000 times.

In accordance ForbesNFTs have been around since 2014, but have recently skyrocketed in popularity.

“An NFT is a digital asset that can come in the form of art, music, in-game items, videos, and more,” the piece published by Forbes so. “They are bought and sold online, often with cryptocurrency, and they are generally encoded with the same underlying software as many cryptos.”

The outlet said cryptocurrency is “decentralized digital money.”

“Unlike the US dollar or the euro, there is no central authority that manages and maintains the value of a cryptocurrency,” Forbes so. “Instead, these tasks are widely distributed among users of a cryptocurrency via the internet.”

The photos of the house show a modest exterior, but portraits of the Bored Ape Yacht Club, background images of tweets and images of the Bitcoin symbol were shown inside.

Commenters on Instagram didn’t hesitate to take their thoughts to the comments section.

“Live Laugh Love: Crypto Bro edition,” wrote one Instagram user.

“It looks like it was meant to be used for a reality TV show,” another user suggested.

“I don’t have the money for it but will they accept NFTs,” joked one Instagram user.

Elle Levy, the owner of the house, said so Newsweek that she just put the house on the market about two weeks ago and its primary function was to serve as an Airbnb.

Levy said she got into cryptocurrency in 2017, which served as inspiration for the interior. It took about six months to a year to renovate the inside of the house to fit the theme.

Although it’s currently on the market, Levy said the house is still available for booking through Airbnb until it’s sold.

“The whole reason behind it was for people to have a place where they can shoot cool content [Los Angeles]Levy said.

She added that she plans to open short-term rentals across the country with different themes for people to experience and have “great content for social media.”

While Levy said this house served her well and was a hit with renters, she said she is putting it on the market because of issues with neighbors.

However, this is not the end of Crypto House – she said she plans to move it.

“I’m not closing the chapter on Crypto House, per se,” Levy said. “Right on that spot.”

Other posts shared by Zillow Gone Wild have also gone viral, including a listing for a “literal treehouse,” a house that featured a cameo from Halloween movie villain Michael Myers and a house that appears to have a premium Delta airport lounge inside.
