$BTC: ZEBDEE partners with Slice to allow you to earn Bitcoin while browsing the web

Recently, FinTech startup ZEBDEE announced that “with the integration of ZEBEDEE into Slice, a browser extension that pays you to view ads, your time on the Internet is now worth its actual value.”

London-based AdTech startup Slice offers a browser extension (available for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Brave) that “enables users to easily monetize the time and attention they invest in web browsing.” Once installed and activated, the Slice browser extension displays ads on the web pages you visit. By viewing these ads, users earn Slices, which can then be exchanged for “real money”.

ZEBDEE’s blog post mentioned that “advertisers should pay us to see their ads,” “but to effectively transfer value from advertisers to potential customers, an advanced form of programmable money is required, as well as a highly efficient payment system.” ZEBDEE says that’s where it comes in, and that its Bitcoin-based Lightning payment rails are “just the tool Slice needs to effectively reward its users without being plagued by delays or drowned in fees.” After collecting a few Slices, the you “exchange them for Bitcoin by withdrawing them to the ZEBEDEE app.”

It is worth pointing out that “you will only be able to convert Slices to Bitcoin after 30 days.”

According to a joint press release issued on September 16, “because Slice has built this functionality using ZEBEDEE’s extremely efficient payment technology, which sits on top of the Bitcoin Lightning Network, users receive their rewards instantly and without fees.” The press release noted that payouts in “legacy systems like PayPal, on the other hand, can take days and carry significant fees, so it’s easy to understand why the integration of Slice with ZEBEDEE creates a passive income experience fit for modern times.”

Darina Oumanski, co-founder and COO of Slice, had this to say:
