Blockchain-based eSports platform, Moxy launches its flagship beta challenge competition

The gaming challenge aims to open up multiplayer online gaming events to everyday players. Players must be 21 years of age or older to enter the competition.

eSports gaming marketplace Moxy.io launched its flagship gaming competition, the ‘eSports for All’ Beta Challenge, which allows everyday gamers to compete in eSports styled competitions with a $100,000 cash prize pool. The contest will also reward winners with their native token, $MOXY, and other collectibles, including NFTs.

According to a statement released on Thursday last week, the eSports for All Beta Challenge will help streamline Moxy’s vision to offer everyone an opportunity to compete in eSports live events. In addition, it also thoroughly helps “stress test the platform’s various components while boarding eSports competitors” as the platform awaits its mainnet launch and its token generation event (TGE).

Moxy.io is a blockchain-based platform that offers on-demand eSports for all players. The project connects players globally using the token, allowing them to compete across various on-demand competitive game titles and win rewards. The project leverages blockchain technology to facilitate real-time transactions across players, while ensuring trust-free and fraud-free online eSports gaming.

Participants in the ‘eSports for All’ Beta Challenge, play to win against other players and climb the leaderboard by collecting points throughout the four seasons. Once the fourth season is over, those who top the Moxy Leaderboard will be eligible to receive prizes, including cash payouts ($USDC), $MOXY tokens and collectibles. However, the team has yet to announce how the $100,000 prize money will be distributed among the top finishers.

To participate, players must be over 21 years of age. Quite simply, players register and create a Moxy account, complete the KYC requirements and they can start playing. At launch, each Moxy registration receives 1,000 $MOXY testnet tokens that allow them to compete against other players. Players can also receive referral rewards of 50 $MOXY tokens if they refer a friend to start playing the game.

The competitive global game aims to open up the multi-billion multiplayer eSports market to regular players, and increase the adoption rate of blockchain games. The competition aims to break down barriers to entry into eSports, allowing players around the world to compete against each other and win real rewards.

In addition, Moxy plans to incorporate popular games, allowing players to access eSports-enabled versions of their favorite titles and compete for significant real-money rewards. Consequently, game developers and publishers can adopt eSports game modes and engage new players through Moxy.io’s platform and integration stack.
