The global crypto market fell more than 2.7 percent on Thursday morning, dragged down by losses in several major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Binance.

The crypto market traded in the red on February 9, 2023. Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Binance (BNB), Solana (SOL) and Aave (AAVE), all traded in losses, but some altcoins, such as Dogecoin (DOGE), registered gains.

Based on Coinmarketcap.com at 11 am IST, the total market fell 2.74 percent to $1.06 trillion, despite a 6.41 percent increase in trading volume.

The biggest gainer of the day was Rocket Pool (RPL), up 8.53 percent to $46.12, and the biggest loser was SingularityNET (AGIX), down 18.54 percent to $0.4715.

Bitcoin: There was a 2.49 percent drop in Bitcoin to $22,603.26. BTC’s trading was highly volatile, but it always stayed in the red. Suddenly, around 20:20 IST on February 8, 2023, the price plunged from $23,132 to $22,758. The lowest price for BTC was $22,458.26. BTC’s trading volume increased by 6.63 percent to $28,864,810,033.

Ethereum: ETH’s price fell 2.47 percent to $1,627.26 in the last 24 hours through Thursday morning. The price of Ethereum fell rapidly around 20:20 on February 8, 2023, from $1,677 to $1,635 within one hour and thirty minutes. The trading volume level rose from $8.50 billion to $9.14 billion. The lowest price for ETH was $1,615.06. ETH’s trading volume increased by 1.50 percent to $8,647,360,202.

Other Altcoins

At $22.85, Solana (SOL) is down 3.33 percent. The price of Ripple (XRP) fell 2.47 percent to $0.4007, and the 24-hour trading volume was $908,921,711.

Cardano (ADA) was down 2.92 percent at $0.387. A decrease of 4.69 percent was also seen in Cardano’s 24-hour trading volume of $387,169,370.

Binance (BNB) fell 3.33 percent to $320.75. Its 24-hour trading volume increased by 18.52 percent to $631,385,840.

Meme Coins

One notable altcoin that showed growth is Dogecoin, which increased by 4.61 percent to $0.08785. Its 24-hour trading volume was up 11.48 percent to $593,999,589.

Shiba Inu was down 6.73 percent to $0.00001326.

Decentralized Finance (DeFi)

A price decline of 3.24 percent was recorded by Yearn.Finance (YFI), while 24-hour trading volume rose by 24.69 percent.

Avalanche (AVAX) fell 5.13 percent to $19.54 and 24-hour trading volume fell 4.45 percent.

Aave (AAVE) traded down 6.37 percent to $82.81.
