BINTANG Crystal launches 33 NFTs with special creations for Indonesian cities

BINTANG Crystal, by Multi Bintang Indonesia, has partnered with Irukandji, an Indonesian Non-Fungible Token (NFT) community, to launch an exclusive collection of 33 NFTs. Marking the collaborators’ debut in the Web 3.0 scene, the NFT collection titled “Taste-timonials by BINTANG Crystal X Irukandji”, will launch this weekend as an effort to “visualize the uniqueness of the taste of BINTANG Crystal”.

The 33 NFTs, four of which are designated as city exclusives, were created by visual artist SlimSteady. These four NFT artworks will each be a reflection of the distinctive qualities of the cities of Medan, Jakarta, Bali and Manado. Customers will be able to observe Kandjis and the uniqueness of each city.

From 14 August, NFT collectors will be able to get their hands on the limited edition collection through the Irukandji website. All information about this collaboration and the NFT collections will be available on Irukandji’s Discord channel. As part of the Crystal Chill Roadshow, the collection will also be on display for interested parties at the “taste-timonials” NFT exhibition.

Alongside the Taste-timonials NFT compilation exhibition, well-known bands such as Ello, Juicy Lucy, Oomleo Berkaraoke, Soundwave, Ramengvrl and Brisia Jodie will perform at the Crystal Chill Roadshow. The finalists of “Submit Your Music”, a live band competition organized at each venue as part of a collaboration between BINTANG Crystal and Ismaya LIVE, will also play to kick off We The Fest 2022.

Jessica Setiawan, Marketing Director of Multi Bintang Indonesia said: “The collaboration between BINTANG Crystal and Irukandji is part of our efforts to remain open to development in the increasingly diverse world of Indonesian pop culture. This is part of our commitment to provide platforms for talented young generations like Irukandji, to keep creating.”

“NFTs have given visual artists a greater opportunity to continue to develop and grow alongside the communities that support them,” said Irukandji founder Reza Arap. “This partnership with BINTANG Crystal is also in line with Irukandji’s mission to make this NFT project widely accessible to Indonesians, especially digital communities, in various cities.”

Established in 2022, Irukandji was established by musician and content creator Reza Arap who was prompted by his interest in the rapid development of NFT communities in Indonesia. Arap works with a number of visual artists to produce his NFT characters, known as Kandjis. In line with the mission of BINTANG Crystal, Irukandji also always strives to visualize the creativity and uniqueness of the young generation through its characters.
