Binance.US appoints fintech veterinarian Jasmine Lee CFO

Binance.US, the US partner of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange and US home for buying, selling, trading, converting and investing digital assets, today announced the appointment of Jasmine Lee, an experienced director of financial services and technology, as CFO.

In this role, Jasmine will lead Binance.US’s finance department and oversee all aspects of financial operations, accounting, investor relations, treasury and tax. She reports to Brian Shroder, President and CEO of Binance.US.

Jasmine joins Binance.US with extensive financial and operational management experience in the fintech sector. Most recently, Jasmine served as CFO and Chief Operating Officer of Acorns, a leading micro-investment app company. In her dual role, she led the finance, corporate and operations functions, laying the foundation for Acorn’s rapid growth and preparing for public company preparedness. Prior to that, Jasmine served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Consumer Product Group at PayPal. During her eight-year tenure, she held various management positions, and drove PayPal’s growth through strategic partnerships, pricing initiatives and the acquisition of new businesses. Jasmine began her professional career at Ernst & Young LLP.

Jasmine’s appointment follows several exciting developments at Binance.US. Last month, Binance.US introduced its new pricing model, which includes zero fees on bitcoin (BTC) trading over four spot pairs, as well as Binance.US Staking, which generates some of the highest APY rates among US crypto exchanges.
