Biggby Coffee is coming to Jackson Twp.;  Menches offering NFT membership

Biggby Coffee opened its first Stark County location this week.

Biggby Coffee is the newest coffee chain to hit the Stark County scene. The coffee shop plans to open late this year or early next year at 4105 Hills and Dales Road NW in Jackson Township.

The menu includes traditional coffee and tea, selected drinks that are usually seasonal, lattes, hot chocolate, tea lattes, Biggby Blast energy drinks, frozen specialties, bagels, muffins, other snacks and a children’s menu.

All the drinks at Biggby are made from scratch, and the ingredients are selected by a team of coffee enthusiasts.

Founded in 1995 in East Lansing, MI, Biggby Coffee (formerly known as Beaner’s Coffee) is a franchise coffee shop that prides itself on giving back. Co-CEOs Bob Fish and Mike McFall believe that giving is receiving.

Celebrate National Coffee Day with freebies, deals

National Coffee Day is Thursday 29 September. To celebrate, many coffee chains offer free coffee or special offers.

Biggby Coffee is offering a free 20 oz. hot or iced coffee on September 29. You can customize the drink at an additional cost.

According to wallethub.com, Dunkin’ Perks members can get a free medium hot or iced coffee with any purchase on September 29.

McDonald's is offering discounted coffee for National Coffee Day.

Using the McDonald’s app, customers can redeem any size premium roast or iced coffee for 99 cents once daily through Dec. 31 at participating restaurants nationwide (including on National Coffee Day).

Sheetz offers customers a free cold coffee with the purchase of any item in store, redeemed through the Sheets app. It is valid for cold brew of all sizes.

No news is good news for Sylvester’s North End Grille?

A year later, and there's no opening date planned yet for Sylvester's in Jackson Township.

Sylvester’s North End Grille, at 4305 Portage St. NW in Jackson Township, remains closed a year after the building was hit by a car.

Updates to Sylvester’s Facebook page have shown that the restaurant plans to reopen, with a comment from Sylvester’s account saying, “Dealing with insurance claims of this magnitude takes time.. we are moving forward to rebuild and hope to be open by October.”

But after several attempts to connect, Sylvester’s would not respond for comment.

The restaurant is still encased with the sign, missing a few letters, which reads “Drun(k) dri(v)er. Temporarily close(d). Uber.”
