Asmongold responds to Dr. Disrespect over “Brain Dead” NFT critics
The popular Jerk streamer Asmongold has finally decided to respond to Dr Disrespect over the latter’s ”Brain Dead” NFT comment. The two popular streamers have been at odds over NFTs, with Dr Disrespect lately making comments against naysayers of the controversial digital collectibles. Asmongold, on the other hand, had a different take on the situation and his response has fans buzzing.
In a recent stream, Dr Disrespect called critics of NFTs “Brain Dead” and claimed they didn’t understand the concept of digital collectibles. Asmongold, who is known for his outspoken views on various gaming and streaming topics, was quick to respond to these comments. He criticized Dr Disrespect’s statement, calling it “insulting” and pointing out that not all criticism of NFTs was unfounded. On one of his official Twitch streams, the OTK founder responded to Two-Time’s comments. The former said, “Okay, let me counter this. I don’t think people want to have every aspect of the gaming experience commodified to the extent that everything they get and earn, and the fundamentals of the game, is built around a dollar value.”
Asmongold further added that if players are given the opportunity to collect high value items, they will just take them by any means. As World of Warcraft veteran, he pointed out that players can receive unique items such as drops, but they cannot sell them later. “Also, by the way, if I was playing a game and I knew I could kill somebody and get a $100,000 item, you know what I’d do? Cheat. I’d cheat,” he added.
Fans have reacted differently to Asmongold’s response to Dr Disrespect’s statements. While some have praised him for speaking out against what they see as unfair criticism of the NFT market, others believe he has misunderstood Dr Disrespect’s statements. Regardless of their conflicting views, it’s clear that the battle between the two streamers is far from over. The debate about NFTs has raged in the gaming and streaming communities for quite some time.
