Anthony Hopkins adopts Ethereum name, Snoop Dogg asks which NFT to buy

Actor Anthony Hopkins was one of the first big Hollywood stars to enter the NFT movie room. The historically rich pioneer now seems ready to dive deeper into NFT world, shares his Ethereum name service (ENS) name and ask other celebrities about art choices.

Today, the Oscar-winning “The Silence of the Lambs” teaser changed his Display name on Twitter to AHopkins.eth, an ENS name that points to a crypto wallet. It is a common trait for people in the NFT and crypto world, adopted by others public figures in the room as a comedian and TV host Jimmy Fallon.

Along with his updated Twitter profile, Hopkins tweeted to Fallon and others Web3-skilled celebrities-rapper Snoop Dogg and actress Reese Witherspoon– for their recommendations on NFT artwork to buy.

“I am amazed at all the great NFT artists. Jumping in to get my first piece, any recommendations? » he tweeted, tagging all three colleagues in the entertainment industry.

An NFT acts as proof of ownership of an object, and often represents digital goods such as works of art, collectibles and video game objects. The film and music industry is increasingly using NFT technology, with both established artists and new creators in every room.

Hopkins’ film project “Zero Contact” was released last year via Vuee, a platform that releases film projects in the form of NFTs. Vuee packs movies with extra content behind the scenes, along with exclusive interactive options such as questions and answers.

Notable filmmakers such as Kevin Smith and Quentin Tarantino has also made inroads in the NFT room.

The ENS name AHopkins.eth was apparently bought in May, but it wallet linked to the ENS name has not yet purchased any additional NFTs. However, since Hopkins announced the wallet address via his Twitter name, it has been sent a couple of NFT photos from random users – a common occurrence with wallets from celebrities and brands.

Snoop Dogg is a well-known NFT collector who owns photos from Bored Ape Yacht Club and other projects. He has also published NFTs himself, including in collaboration with The Sandbox and the creator of the Nyan Cat meme. Snoop Dogg has too claimed to be the Cozomo de ‘Medicia pseudonymous NFT collector with a very valuable collection.

Fallon owns NFTs in valuable, high-profile collections such as the Bored Ape Yacht Club and Moonbirds. Witherspoon has advocated for Web3 technology and her Hello Sunshine studio is develop TV and film projects based on the World of Women NFT collection.
