Animoca Brands and Hex Trust launch NFT-centric custodial wallet joint venture

Animoca Brands, a Hong Kong-based gaming company, and Hex Trust, an institutional digital asset manager, have announced the public launch of Gryfyn.

Gryfyn is a joint venture to provide an innovative wallet custody solution focused on bringing users to Web3, Animoca Brands said in a statement on Tuesday.

According to the statement, Gryfyn enables anyone, anywhere to easily and securely access digital experiences, own and manage digital assets, and connect with their favorite brands.

Hex Trust offers its fully licensed, bank-grade security and custody infrastructure to seamlessly connect to the rapidly growing Web3 ecosystem.

Gryfyn offers a secure, reliable and stress-free environment to store, interact with and acquire digital assets.

People all over the world can use Gryfyn as a digital passport to engage with events, entertainment and each other.

It is noted that Gryfyn has completed a $7.5 million fundraising from backers that include Liberty City Ventures, GameFi Ventures, Lavender Hill Capital Partners, Mind Fund, Animoca Ventures, LeadBlock Partners, Angel Hub, Brinc, as well as angel investors including Gabby Dizon.

Arnoldo Concepción, Co-Chief Operating Officer of Animoca Brands, has been announced as CEO of Gryfyn.

Gryfyn’s custodial crypto wallet offers users a seamless and secure Web3 experience built on Hex Trust’s licensed and insured institutional infrastructure.

The wallet is a bank-grade non-fungible token (NFT)-centric multi-chain wallet that enables users to easily and securely interact across multiple blockchains and Web3 products.

Following a successful soft launch at Hong Kong Fintech Week in November 2022, Gryfyn has signed global partners and will launch new features and activation events throughout 2023.
