The global cryptocurrency market fell 0.73 percent on Tuesday afternoon, but remains at $1 trillion. The market was weighed down by losses in Bitcoin (BTC) and other popular altcoins

The global crypto market was bearish on February 14, 2023. Apart from Aave (AAVE), Bitcoin and other major altcoins such as Binance (BNB), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) fell. .

The global cryptocurrency market capitalization stood at $1.00 trillion at 1:00 PM IST, down 0.71 percent from the previous day, according to coinmarketcap.com.

The total crypto market volume increased by 29.04 percent in the last 24 hours to $55.61 billion.

The top trending crypto was Bitcoin, but the biggest gainer for the day was Curve DAO Token (CRV), up 12.94 percent to $1.06, while the top loser was Zilliqa (ZIL), down 9.96 percent to $0.02852.

Cryptocurrency prices

Bitcoin: The price of Bitcoin fell by 0.38 percent to $21,753. BTC had been in the red since 13:00 IST on February 13, 2023.

In two hours, prices fell from $21,821 to $21,544. Although it gradually recovered, the price remained highly volatile. The lowest price for BTC was $21,460. BTC’s trading volume increased by 14.06 percent to $22.68 billion.

Ethereum: ETH’s price fell by 0.49 percent to $1,502.90. Ethereum had been trading in the red since 14.10 IST on Monday. The trading volume level rose from $6.53 billion to $8.04 billion in two hours. The prices of ETH were very volatile.

The lowest price for ETH was $1470. ETH’s trading volume increased by 29.88 percent to $8.54 billion.

Other Altcoins

Solana (SOL) was down 0.49 percent at $21.02.

In 24-hour trading, Ripple’s (XRP) price fell 1.31 percent to $0.3704, while trading volume rose 38.84 percent.

Cardano (ADA) fell 0.77 percent to $0.3589. After a 17.67 percent increase, 24-hour trading volume reached $335 million.

Binance (BNB) fell 3.47 percent to $292.97. Its 24-hour trading volume rose 66.34 percent to $1,181 million.

Meme Coins

Dogecoin fell 3.36 percent to $0.08174 and 24-hour trading volume fell 29.78 percent.

Shiba Inu was down 3.35 percent to $0.00001239.

Decentralized Finance (DeFi)

Yearn.Finance (YFI) fell 0.68 percent even as 24-hour trading volume rose 12.67 percent.

Avalanche (AVAX) fell 1.09 percent to $17.54 and 24-hour trading volume increased 14.38 percent.

Aave (AAVE) traded up 6.67 percent to $81.86.
